  1. Hey Fellas, Everyone was binning and buying A0 memories with the goal to reach 4200+ c12-11. For a very long time, this was the absolute way to go in all benchmarks, until Alva decided to show us the real magic on A2 during the GOC 2018 in Vietnam. From that moment on, a lot of people tried to reproduce these settings and even improve them. I think the G.Skill OC Worldcup then, showed what’s really possible on A2, where we showed 5100MHz C14-14 and 5000MHz C14-13. It was said, that 4800C14-13 is not really much faster than 4200c12-11 in for example 32m. Yes, that’s not wrong. But keep in mind, that 4200 or in best cases 4240, ist he absolute limit. 4800C14-13 is something that some guys can run on air and not the limit. I’ve tried 4933c14-13 and it was in fact faster and this is still not the limit…look at the screenshot: Due to the fact, many many people start using A2 mem and some high freq & low latency settings, Asus decided to put some further profiles into the upcoming BIOS files. Keep in mind, that not all A2 mems and/or 9900k can do this due to several, known reasons! Please don’t give up on booting them, once it doesn’t work. DRAM VTT should always be around 0.9V-0.95V. IO/SA depends on your chip, but I figured out on 4 different chips, that too much is not really good! On all my chips, the max I needed was 1.35 IO and 1.4 SA. DRAM Voltage is best around 1.97 to 2V for booting. In OS I was able to raise the voltage up to 2.15 on some sticks. 4800 2V: This is actually the lowest profile. It should run on at least 90% of all Systems with semi good sticks. 4800MHz is quite high for an all air cooled system, this might be the toughest thing here – temperature! If you can’t boot this profile straight, start with 98MHz BCLK. Find your max bootable setting. Then raise the rest in the OS. ALL RTLs are Auto! Some kits require to set the initial value to 79 and both offsets to 20. 4800 1,97V: This profile is by far the toughest one. Only two out of all my A2 dimms did this on air. This is basically a cold profile. With a cold CPU I was able to boot this one with 8 sticks! With cold CPU and cold MEM, all parts did it immediately. The same rule applies to the 4933 profile. Here you have a profile, that gives you at least 8600 points in geek 3 single mem score at 5G CPU! Once you went cold on both, CPU and MEM, you can try booting this profile with 4933. I was able to do so in Taiwan. That made it possible to run this setting at almost 5g: If you can’t boot, with postcode 23 for example, then change the RTLs in this profile to auto. Now they are 62/63/13/13. Keep the initial at 79 and raise the offsets from 19/18 to 20 both. (this is a general rule for all three profiles). If it boots now, try lowering the offsets again to 19 both and keep the RTLs at auto. The offsets 19/18 is the lowest I got working and it really gave me the best performance! Keep in mind, everything higher than 4850MHz with c14 I needed at least 0°C on the MEM to boot! 4933 1,97V: Let’s call it the killing spree profile! With this profile you might be able to boot even with 5g divider! It’s not easy, but doable with the following how-to. 1. CPU and MEM cold 2. CPU is fine from -100°C to fullpot, MEM should be -60°C to -80°C for training. Once it trained, torch your mem to around -20°C to -30°C to enter the OS. 3. Try to keep the mem around that temperature. Unless you changed the bclk, your MEM shouldn’t be trained again and you don’t need to focus the temp. I hope you like this. Maybe there will be a Gene BIOS soon as well…

LN2 jumper enabled, FCLK = 1566, VDDG CCD = 1.2V, VDDG IOD = 0.9V. LN2 jumper enabled DRAM voltage = 1.65V. USB Flashback LN2 OC TIP There is an FCLK cold bug under LN2 so try to stay around 1400~1600 for FCLK under LN2 to get a good compromise between temps and perf. To improve stability in this case: VDDG 1.15v, SOC 1.28v, disable DF Cstates. Depending on the CPU and FCLK, may have to control temps -120C ~ -170C. I typically use 1.35v ~ 1.55v SOC just to get as high an FCLK/Cold bug margin as possible. Do not be alarmed when it resets when temperature changes, pcie and fclk needs to retrain when temps change. Also sometimes there is temperature hole so going lower than it hangs may help. FCLK Biggest problem on the platform 1200 default freq and supposed to go 1:1 with memory for best latency. Improves performance but limited, ~ 1800+ on air and 1400 on LN2. FCLK instability includes hang at postcodes such as ‘07’, stuttering in OS, drop performance in Cinebench. CPU has FCLK cold bug. Improve FCLK Margin by using 1.15VDDG (too much will hang) and 1.3+v SOC. Since VDDG is sourced from SOC so SOC should be higher. VDDG only takes effect at 1400+ FCLK so under LN2 you need to set 1400. Higher usually fails during LN2. Enable LN2 mode, Use the Load LN2 profile as a base template, this uses low vcore so you can save exit when it’s not cold. You will need to do this before -40C to avoid cold bug. You need 1400 FCLK + 1.15v VDDG and 1.35~1.45VSOC. Post codes 07 : too high fabric / fabric unstable (can press reset 2~3 try but If not solved You need to reset the flck clock after lowering the temperature to -120c.) F9 or 23 : High Memory Clock / Tight Timings (Memory reset need) other code : (can press reset 2~3 try but If not solved You need to lower the temperature to 100c ~ 120c.) About AMD Limitations Safemode cannot restore back to stock memory settings as this takes place in the ‘PSP’ which the BIOS has no control over at that point of time. Either you have to clear cmos or wait for 5 times of post code ‘F9’ to get into AMD’s recovery mode. AMD’s recovery mode restores every AMD option back to stock, including timings and CLDO voltages. Because of the above, try not to clear cmos during LN2, at most go safe mode if your settings can be sustained with 1.5v DRAM, since BIOS will apply 1.5v for safemode when LN2 enable. IF you clear cmos, FCLK will go back to Auto and CLDO VDDG voltage will too. When cold, FCLK needs to be 1400+ and VDDG 1.15v if not Fabric will be unstable so you need to torch up to maybe -60c in this case. Therefore test your Memory settings on ambient first. Cold CPU improves Memory OC so you don’t need to worry about MC cold bug. TRY NOT TO CLEAR CMOS WHEN CPU IS COLD Enjoy!

I have updated the ZenStates app (fork of elmor's app) with Matisse support: https://github.com/irusanov/ZenStates/releases AFAIK elmor doesn't work for Asus anymore and is not maintaining it, so I've made my own version. You can see the commits on the linked repo. The difference is that there's no vendor check, so it should work on all motherboards from all vendors, plus the added Zen2 support. I've tested it on Asrock B350 K4 and verified it works. If it works on Zen2 too, then it might help in benchmark scores a little. As always, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I don't have a Zen2 CPU to try it myself, all I did is add the CPUIDs.   7. So beyond the obvious the ryzen results are flowing in and disable points check box is not working for some people. Beyond this fact, submissions that have points disabled are still affecting the rankings. Every result that is below the submission itself is getting points for one rank less. Pretty sure its not supposed to work this way or am I wrong? If it is the way its supposed to work you may as well just give the subs points because they are impacting the current rankings. (yes im an intel shill blah blah just want to clear up the rules thx)

  8. I edited many subs to not go for points, but indeed the GL points seem to stay in the ranking... another bug to report... Anyone tested the new AMD to see if RTC bug is still possible ?

  9. Can confirm the disabled points didn't work, I try to edit 3 times with tickbox still the same, it showed 'no points' in the submission but when cheking rankings globally it's shown still given points.

  13. Very informative and Professional write-up Daniel. Thank you. Folks, it seems I am one of the lucky ones - both my I9-9900K and my I7-8700K boot right up 4800 / 14-13-13-28-2T very tight. 1.375VccIO and 1.425VccSA. Mems on air. Anyway, thanks again Daniel

  14. Does anyone have a screenshot of this? The billing phone number should be ordered before entering the Paypal portal. Is it because of a mismatch in order billing information and paypal billing information? edit: Seems to be related to directly checking out with Paypal from the "Cart" page, this option is removed now.

  16. @RicoSuabe 3DMARK2001 is the only 3D benchmark where you can run each test in the order you want. So you can change LOD and other settings (like GPU clocks or CPU speed) per test. If you test this you will find out that a particular run order boosts the overal score. In case of Nate58 he did this, hence why it shows he only ran 1 test out of 7. Just for info: You will NOT obtain a Total score by running only 1 test out of 7, (all 7 tests have to be run) I hope this is clear(er) now

  17. K guys, these rules have been implemented thanks to some members that cheated by replacing the original rendered scene. This sad act has a major impact on all following/future submissions. If you want to bench it hook it up to a desktop monitor, 1280 x1024 res should be sufficient to get all vital info in there...

  18. wanna thank all the mods, tireless unpaid efforts to keep it altogether for us , competing or not boys in the comp for another fun run , thx , id suggest we all had some troubles in it somewhere to try do better but was good fun, if you dont try nothing happens, team cup now , i have a feeling it will be a beaut as well 😊 cheers ozz
