I have pretty much mint condition 7970 lightning wich oc'd really well even on water. original box and atleast pretty much everything else comes with it. on top of that i have one of vivis legend gtx275 lightning cards but its covered with insulation and voltage mods and without original stuff exept the cooler. located in finland europe but i gues i might be able to ship it, need to check prices first and how much your willing to pay for it :)

These settings worked with msi GD65 Z77 board too. Auto settings were way too tight with G.Skill Flares. Now i just need to check how low latencys i can run these Dont know how much these chips usually needs vccsa voltage for 2600MHz but mine seems to need 1.3v.. -.- AUTO settings only got stuck at 55 postcode and trick above told didnt help for that.

Got new chip too 2x L208B073 were thrash (6.2-6.3GHz max with full pot) Now i tested fast with air L221A971 4.8GHz 32M stable with 1.215v 5GHz needs somthing near 1.32v This chip wont do 5Ghz without huge voltage increasement just like those L206 acted, dont know why... Used STOCK cooler only so i will try with better one soon. If others have same expressions it would be nice to hear I just cant belive that suddenly good sample needs over 0.1vcore boost for 200MHz... -.- What volts have u give for memory overclocking on air? Max i have used ssa/io etc was 1.25v, maybe im too careful but only 2400Mhz worked like it should with G.Skill Flares..

Thats what im trying too and i think msi is working on it too Did u have any backup flash while getting overclockin failed (Mine did flash back original bios when i set too tight ram timing fev times) If that could somehow get bios stuck etc. I bought all parts too and it was kinda expensive, atleast i was able to test lightning too. But board died before i started run full tests -.- And now im kinda pissed since i RMA'd board and company where i bought it is whining about dirt on motherboard wich have nothing to do with this problem

I had same problem with my board. Used same 10.5b bios.. I didnt have any water/ice on mem slots since i had hairdryer blowin them whole session, checked that asap when 55 code came. Didnt even have hard reset, just booted with safe settings to go into bios put some more juice and then board never booted past 55 code. (So was never able to put even more clock/volts) Tryed already two ivys and both is alive and gave same 55 code. Then changed 2500k on it and it gave me first 55 code, then 20code and then it started just bootloop without any codes. Now i RMA'd board fev days ago since i didnt find any solution to fix that. Can u check do ur mobos give only 0.4volts to memslots? For me it did so thats the reason why not booting, just need to figure WHY it only give 0,4volts.

Really strong card! Whats ur ASIC quality on that one? I bet its somthing like ~85%

For me it still gives 55 after taking off memorys. I got my cpu work with maximus again, dont know why it first did 55 too, but when i cleared cmos, changed memory and booted i was able to go bios and now it works normal. Tryed GD65 with 2500k too but no change. Tryed without mounting cooler, put it loose and tightened and still no go with old bios or newer one.

Also tryed with cooler just laying on cpu without mounting, no help I dont remember did i try this mobo with 2 cpu's or not, no caps missin from memorys too..

Turned out that my cpu is dead too, or maybe that 55 code was only cuz of cpu.

Not so easy benching ;D Im going to do same thing, atleast i got time to do one more run for MOA then only less than 20kg ln2 left but maybe it will be enough some fast 03,11 marks and 32M..

Hmmh whats different in lightning special oc bios compared to stock LN2 bios?? That bios was new thing for me..

So honda u dont have that problem with air anymore? For me 1 stick in any slot didnt solve anything. Maybe its just time to get new board and one ivy

Il check my cpu pins again, already did it once and didnt see anything special. Splave: I had really loose timing and only 2000-2100 speed -.- I suppose that 0.4volts only for memory is the only reason why i have that 55 code. Edit: No pins bend or nothing. still same 55 code bootloop. Would be nice to know what causes this effect, impossible to bench moa IF next stime board does same thing Other strange thing is that board itself flashed 'backup' bios when i tried to put my air cooled memory settings few times. Just booted few time and then suddenly "Flashing backup bios 0%" etc.. Wouldnt just "overclocking failed" message be enough

Not z77 board but we had X79 GD65 wich is now stuck max 45x multi. All lower works but not any higher -.- And mine Z77 GD65 is stuck at post code 55. First it worked well and bootet to windows, ran some superpi with safe clocks and crashed. Newer boot again. Il check it tomorrow again if it suddenly works. Tested every other parts and they work. It just wont give enough volts to memory (only 0.4v measured). Tryed both bioses too (newest beta and stock) so no scores for this weekend just as i feared with one board

Now this only makes me think, why i have only one GD65 board for LN2 tests... Only weekend when i can bench for MOA, il stay away from using only 1 core!!

Hmmh, do u have to got advanced version of 3dmark03 or is there some way submit to orb without it? EDIT: Maybe save as + 3dmark reader works for this, il try.

Thats kinda sucky one indeed, but that 5GHz under 1.4volts just make me thinking that maybe this air binning isnt so accurate afterall for ALL chips. Maybe some chips scales more with temps than voltage and others just opposite of that.. I have some kind of wall on my cpu, it can do 4.7GHz 1.28v, 4.8GHz 1.31v, 4.9GHz 1,35v, 5GHz 1.55v... Il try tomorrow cool it down with single stage and see how those steps go with it. If someone else have tested their chips it would be nice to know how they do
