Basically you explained a lot and intrested me with such thing as OC but still I would like to ask you guys for advise regarding to my OC. Let's just say I'm a total newbie on OC field and I gathered my knowledge from many guides (a lot of missleading informations), the thing is I would like to reach the safe maximum on my hardware but I dont know the limits and how to test them. CPU: i7-6700 non-K CPU coller: SilentiumPC Grandis XE1236v2 with 3x 120mm fans (~1100RPM max for my fans is I think 1600RPM. I can go higher with noise it isn't a problem for me) Thermal paste: Arctic Silver 5 mobo: MSI Z170A Gaming M7 with 1.C1 BIOS (BLCK OC is allowed, once again thank you der8auer) GPU: MSI GTX780 Gaming TF OC 3GB RAM: 4x 8GB GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16-8GVK PSU: Corsair RM1000i some SSDs some HDDs Intel Dual Port NIC PRO/1000 monitor: Benq 120/144hz case: Fractal Design XL R2 with 7x 140mm fans (4x in / 3x out ~800RPM max for my fans is I think 1200RPM) Everything is stable on these settings: 1st attempt (room temp 25c): CPU: 4522Mhz (133Mhz BLCK / 1.325V) RAM: 3192Mhz (16-16-16-36) CPU package temp on Prime95_26.6 (FFT 1344) - max 61c CPU package temp on Prime95_28.5 (FFT 1344) - max 58c CPU package temp on OCCT 4.4.2 LINPACK with AVX - max 57c CPU package temp on OCCT 4.4.2 LINPACK no AVX - max 62c GPU temp running Heaven - max 73c 2nd attempt (room temp 23c): CPU: 4590Mhz (135Mhz BLCK / 1.325V) RAM: 3240Mhz (17-17-17-37) CPU package temp on Prime95_26.6 (FFT 1344) - max 61c CPU package temp on Prime95_28.5 (FFT 1344) - max 57c CPU package temp on OCCT 4.4.2 LINPACK with AVX - max 55c CPU package temp on OCCT 4.4.2 LINPACK no AVX - max 61c CPU package temp on Cinebench R15 - max 68c GPU temp running Heaven - max 72c CPU questions: Should I increase BLCK more, how much? Should I increase voltage? Whats the max safe/recommended? How much temperature drop or potential OC increase will I get after buying Noctua NH-D15? GPU questions: Almost everything, screenshot attached with my GPU-Z and MSI afterburner. I couldnt find a proper guide how to OC this GPU. Thanks in advance. Cheers, wln123
