  1. Hey Mr. Horse, I can say that in the case of my second board, it's absolutely flawless. Nothing missing, not even dirty. Socket is picture-perfect. I tried with two different chips (980X & 960) and plenty of different sticks of memory. I'm thinking that it's something internal on the board that breaks down with age... a trace or something like that. I'm not sure though. I may reach out to Gigabyte directly to see if they have any experience with this.
  2. Didn't try that. I was running 1.75V or so... maybe 1.80V. I don't want to kill my hypers Maybe I should put in my Samsungs?
  3. I bought a board a while back that was known to drop a memory channel but I chalked that up to the overall condition of the board--rough with vas everywhere. Maybe one out of ten times it would boot with the third channel. I later bought a board that was in flawless condition and all seemed well until a few weeks ago... it started dropping a memory channel as well. Recently saw that the notorious scammer Systemviper was selling one as well. He said it was treated well which is probably a lie but his was also having the same issue.... Has anyone else had this? Were you able to fix it? If so, what did you do? It looks like it's becoming common on this board as it ages and that's a massive bummer
  4. I was messing with an A0 980X a few weeks ago and hit a CB at -130°C and had CBB at -110°C. Unlike retail 980X, this did not get better when lowering PLL, QPI, or removing memory. Any tips? Did anyone else have issues running A0 980X full pot?
  5. Lays, make sure to go into the menu and select "Show Extensions". It will make the comparison a bit easier.
  6. Hey Bull, has anyone posted a 49/50 6/6 run at 4000 that passed? Seems like I've only seen the Impact doing that.
  7. Wouldn't do much. BBB is a private organization and they're an international company. I could always start a PayPal dispute and may do so if they don't get back to me before my Buyer Protection runs out.
  8. I got lucky and was able to back the nubs out with pliers. Crazy how junky this new hardware is though.
  9. Andrea was clearly serious when he said he was working to fix things. Since various components on my bench arrived damaged, they have ignored my emails for over two weeks asking for a resolution. I want to clarify that I am not looking for your sympathy or anything along those lines. Just sharing my experience and letting everyone know that it's still the typical process to get the runaround from Dimastech. A few things are obvious... this packaging is not rugged enough for international shipment. Also, having owned the v2.5, somewhere along the way they switched to MUCH cheaper, weaker hardware. Each individual screw must weigh half as much as the old ones. I believe they used to be brass? Now they look and feel like pot metal. Absolute junk--no wonder they backed out and sheared off. Carnage:
  10. Hey, Wulfe is right. Please include photos with your username, the date, and HWBot on them.
  11. They also haven't responded to my emails asking for some sort of compensation for the broken parts on my bench.
  12. If you bring a pot, expect to have your stuff searched and explain what it's used for. It may be helpful to have photos and the like ready to show them. I got lucky and the TSA guy was on OCN and even knew who I was but otherwise... you're going to have a lot of explaining to do!
  13. Just linked a few people to this... figured I'd give it a bump! Thanks for the guide
  14. Time to get purchasing: http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/sop/5503399501.html http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/sop/5529908477.html http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/sop/5475320632.html http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/sop/5508721308.html http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/sop/5502468394.html
  15. The bench itself isn't heavy, but the whole box is probably about 15-18 lbs or so. I bought an EasyXL because I wanted to move my radiators down below, so I know what you mean about wanting the second one below. The 240 up top got in the way when pouring. If you only have one radiator (or an external rad box), it's perfect.
  16. @rtsurfer just said mentioned something in chat and made me think... Can you get in touch with a local electronics recycler in the area and see if you can "rent" some monitors? That would be awesome for those of us who wouldn't be able to bring one if traveling.
