Good luck guys!! The sempron 145 is my single core processor of choice. I'll be back for for more challenges thought!
-
Thanks Hondacity! Coming from you I'll certainly take that as a compliment! You're one of the names I constantly recognize around here and I'm always impressed with your results! Hopefully you'll be seeing more of this processor in the future!
-
Haha, I couldn't let the US get away with only 4 submissions! If I knew someone else was running a 1 core wPrime 1024, I would have improved the 2 core submission. Fun never the less!!
-
Awesome clock!! Great work, it looks like you got a really good chip there!

Your verification link is wrong. Did you post the wrong one?
-
I'd be happy to help with what I can, but I don't really meet any of the qualifications needed. I know Java and c++ if that helps now or in the future. I'm also quite good at photoshop if you need some graphics.
-
Do you need any help in writing the program or a second set of eyes? Beta tester at least?
-
4.GHz at 1.216V? Nice chip!
-
Yeah, with a good GPU you can get some pretty nice points, and it looks like you know what you're doing!
-
Ouch, nice job for running with LN2!
-
The same thing happened to me!
-
ohh i see. Thanks!!

How did you get the multi to x23? I thought turbo pushed it only to x22?

I was reading an article about Youtube and how they deal with copyrighted material posted on their website and how they are legally responsible for it. From what i read, Youtube is not responsible for copyright infringement until the copyright holder proves its copyrighted. Once they receive word, they can take it down without punishment.
Like you said, we just need a complaint/issue email for requests to take down copyrighted material.

From what i remember, you change the multiplier on the QPI.
-
So you meen generate a random ASCII sequence each run depending of some sort of variable? Nice idea.
That would be pretty difficult to photoshop, but that would be one more thing the processor would have to do to run the benchmark.

We need a solid black & green AT computer style, all ASCII. F**k bling bling & 1337!
Haha yeah. Thats exactly what we need

Looking cool!
Can you drop the big red-PI image and move the Pifast image to the lower right corner with background still black?
That allows us to have all the buttons in the black background.
Definitely! If you can give me a screen shot of what the GUI will look like i can match it up perfectly. I will knock out a prototype in the meantime.
Edit: Here's the link of the new one: http://s487.photobucket.com/albums/rr237/kingoftheboos/?action=view¤t=HexusPifastbackgroundNum2byKingFishy.png

Overclocking CD drives could be fun
haha yes!
yes, the more components involved the better, like cdrom components or pci-express bandwidth components, all give new challenges
True, but i know some overclocker's builds (myself included) don't have a CD drive hooked up while they overclock. Also, from what I know, you can't tweak the performance of a CD drive so that section will just be whoever can buy the best CD drive.
An all-around benchmark test is great if you really want to know the full capabilities of your build, so it would be cool to see this benchmark supported. There's my two cents.

My thoughts:
By far the simplest pifast cheat is yee olde photoshoppe, strikes me that a nice easy way to get rid of that one (if you even allow screenshot pifast submissions, making it auto-submit-only would do the trick right there) would be to have the background colors randomly selected on startup. Hard to photoshop two things with different colors fading around together.
Very true. Also, its possible to have a complex background pattern. Subdued enough that it doesn't hurt your eyes, but still light enough that you can tell if its been tampered with.

Tell me what you think. If you want anything changed feel free to ask.

If we want to submit a design, where and how should we do it?
________

How did you get the clock up that high?

Haha, several.. It seemed to work fine for what I needed. I thought I'd make my own pot instead of buying one. It was cheaper.
