  1. another easy question for someone. as the title says, how do we assign team moderators?
  2. oh cool. how do we assign team moderators? that sounds like exactly what we need. is it only the captain that can do that? also, i would like to know where to report scores. thanks for helping. hopefully we can get s#!t a bit more organised. muz
  3. thanks for responding guys (couldnt multiquote) knopflerbruce, i will pm you shortly with suspect score links. we have actually confronted the member already, but he didnt respond. he has not given any reasons explaining his scores. we were wondering how to kick someone from the team. is that up to the hwbot crew to decide their fate?
  4. edit: sorry if it double posted. i couldnt see message, so pasted so a few of us have taken on admin responsibilities for our team recently. we are trying our best to organise/monitor the members. one member in particular has had 2 suspect results. the first score had points deleted by hwbot. now there is another score by the same member, with the same hardware, and the same inconsistencies. we are stumped on what to do, as we have no proof, other than the submitted score itself. so what do we do?

  6. hey im just wondering if anyone knows why we can't view our member rankings, only contributions. our team is 'overclockers australia (ocau)' http://hwbot.org/rankings/overclocker/team/overclockers_australia_ocau
  7. sorry if i double posted, its not showing up for me...??? thats why there would need to be a no 2nd hand hardware sale rule. the responsibility for administering this issue may be out of the hwbot crew's hands. it may fall upon the manufacturers and the top overclockers connected with these manufacturers to come up with the solution. there would be more retail hardware sales and may allow the financing of the individual harware id's to be implemented. together with software for registering the hardware for it's user.

  9. until there is an individual hardware id for cpu/gpu, i dont think there is a solution apart from maybe a disclaimer and hope that everyone is honest. even then there would need to be a no 2nd hand hardware sale rule.
  10. maybe the real long term solution is for manufacturers to implement individual id's for cpu's, gpu's etc for every piece of hardware for validation like the cpu-z validation. it would require the smallest amount of data, though i have no idea how it would be implemented for each processor. something like cd keys for online games. maybe when manufacturers are more geared towards overclocking competition it may be possible to allow the smallest amount of individual data per microprocessor. it may seem like an impossible task, but it really would be such a miniscule part of a microprocessor
  11. my god! this took too long to read about the rev 4 changes. maybe a new thread should be started with 1 post per user, with three comments for pros and three comments for cons for each user to be considered by the hwbot guys. bitching and whining gets everybody nowhere except a really long read. that was including skipping pages and pages of comments made by the same user over and over. i didnt even get an idea of how it will effect me. rev 3 lowered my rank to 40 something in australia. so i did another load of benches to get me to 22nd, now back to 24th atm. im a budget oc'er, so i think having different class leagues is a great idea. though i think it would be cool to have different leagues for every type of cooling. so the air/water/phase/cascade/ln2 guys can all compete fairly. pro's on water vs amature's on water would be great to see! edit: also people cheating is a huge problem. any improvements to anti-cheating is a must do for the admininstration to consider. i think the primary concern for hwbot!
