    [FS] G3220

Hey guys, I have a G3220 ES Haswell Pent here that I am not using and has never been benched. Looking to get $55 shipped USPS priority USA.
  3. OMG!! You just fixed a a problem I have been trying to solve for a long time. I owe you a beer mate, thank you so much!
  4. Hey guys, ***SOLD*** Up for sale is a 1 day old EVGA GT710 (02G-P3-2717-RX) fully modded so you can compete in the cheapaz chips competition. I did 3 of thees for team mates and one of them wont have time to run this card so he wants me to sell it. This card has not been binned or benched, I just ran vantage @stock before and after the mods to test stability. I have no clue what the OC potential is, that's for you to find out The mods are: Vcore adjust with disable switch and voltage display Vmemory adjust with disable switch and voltage display Huge cap bank for the single core phase Looking to get $75 shipped USPS priority USA.
  5. Good stuff, thanks!! This one looks like it could be a VID anyway (just a guess) and I was not excited about that much work for this card. NDA parts are so frustrating...
  6. Hey guys, I am looking for the datasheet to the Volterra VT1105MF part. I spent some time googling but cant seem to find it anywhere. The card I am working with is a reference X1950XTX. Anyone know where the datasheet can be found?
  7. Can I use an ES G3258 for SC2.7? It says "Engineering Samples and Unreleased Hardware not allowed", is that for the DDR3 or everything?
  8. Thanks to GTIJason @OCN for the memory loan, and to an unnamed party for the loaner G3258
  9. Good to hear since I have a 1GB version in the mail! As for the memory pot, I used a 50K but its right in the point of needing a larger one. Since I have a disable switch I can go close to the border line. If you don't have a disable and you choose a 50K, you will definitely slightly increase your stock memory voltage even with the pot fully backed off (most people are ok with this but I like being able to run stock). Stock resistance was 2.528k for me, hope it goes well! EDIT: Vcore was a 20k pot for anyone who cares (0.890k stock resistance)
  10. Here are some pictures as it stands now, still have more mods to do but its time for testing.
  11. After over an hour of googling I found it!!!! http://www.diodes.com/_files/datasheets/AP3436_A.pdf
  12. Hey guys, EDIT: SOLVED, SEE BELOW for updated pics and info I am doing a little voltmod on this EVGA GT710 2GB card and I cant figure out the memory IC. The core was really easy since the datasheet for RT8120 is published online, though I still need to figure out OCP for this part. I think the memory PWM part is an IC labeled BDB, 550, 517 and im not having any luck finding info about this part. I couldn't find any examples of others doing mods on this card, any advise?
  13. Hey guys, I am trying to come up with a formula to handle OCP on all the cards I do that have no previous examples. What value do you guys usually do for OCP? Lately I have been doing OCP on all the cards I do and I never quite know the correct formula for determining the OCP resistance or if I am even doing OCP correctly. Here is what I have been doing: I have been basically reducing the resistance of IOUT/IMAX pin by half to remove OCP. In most cases I have to use my biggest pot, 500K, and with it fully backed off it will usually decrease the OCP pin resistance by 1/4 to start then allow me to drop down from there. For "per phase" cards I have been decreasing the resistance by half with discrete resistors. In a few cases, my OCP mod didn't remove the OCP triggering and I wanted to check to see if I am doing it correctly. Some examples show people removing the OCP resistor completely, while most of the other examples show a simple VR mod like I am doing. Also, is there a full list of the OCP pin names (IOUT, IMAX, ect) that IC manufacturers use?
  14. YEP! I tried forever to make it work as a card, no luck, so it will be a power card now.
  15. I cut my card and its still shorted. I am running this card from a bench top power supply, its more than adequate to handle this power load. The 3v3 line is drawing about 65mA, which seems correct. I think everything is working but the core is shorted so its not powering it up. I applied the voltages are follows: pin 48 = 5V (+5VCC) pin 51 = 3.3v (EN -enable chip) pin 52 = 3.3v (VTT - enable input of the controller) pin 62 = 3.3v (PSI) I cut the card just like yours and files the edges really smooth so there is no short in the power planes.
  16. Thank you so much, this is very helpful! Quick question, looking on my board and comparing to yours it looks like your chip enable is soldered to pin 52 (your red wire). On my board pin 51 is NC. Can you please confirm. With 3.3 soldered via the PCIe connector I cannot get my board to start which is troubling. The core on my card is shorted (0.1ohm) so hopefully this will be resolved when I cut the card.
  17. Awesome! Would you be willing to give us the pin numbers of each IC or solder point that you applied your LOD voltages to?
