once the penny drops with the other teams in the top ten now that they will be gone after rev 4 we might see some progress in this thread

with rev 4 to be at the top of the team league now you only need 5 members say fully supported by gigabyte with endless hardware maybe have some guys that work there for good measure just to make sure you get the full wax and that's it, gigabyte are the top of the team league and not to forget that gigabyte get to rule the single ranking as they do now by paying one of there employees to bench all day and gigabyte are your main sponsor

lol you dont need to come to the UK just the benchtec forum it will be good for you to see all the benchers there that have worked so hard as a team being told that they are no longer needed

i would like to invite you to a meeting @benchtec to explain to the team that they have nothing to fear form rev 4 This would go a long way to helping my team understand your plans i understand it will take some of your time so i would be very grateful if you could attend if you pm me a day this week or next that you will be free to answer question i will setup a forum notify the team that you are coming to explain rev 4 and how it will benefit them Because as this stands now they do not understand at all the need for this change

i would be very happy to pay a subscription for what this site offers us as benchers in life i cannot think of any service that i use that is free

Our team is set up as a democracy any team member that gets stuff sent to them Can Put there logo on the front page and publishes their own reviews, i have no input into any arrangements that team members have with any manufacture And that’s all they get from us i personally have no sponsorship from any company and would not want it benchtec is self funding and has no moneys coming into it from outside so is independent to make its own decision on its path There was a time when i thought it was cool to be sent parts but have moved on from that mind set And now realise that it was a mistake i am now much happier without all the crap that comes with manufacturing support and i truly believe Hwbot would also benefit from a break form sponsors With a move to subscription you would be masters of your own destiny edit: after some thought there is one company that has supported benchtec from the start and has asked for nothing in return, Intel UK

manufactures should not have any say in how hwbot is run they cannot be trusted to make the best decisions for the benchers here if you take money from them they will expect there pound of flesh donation buttons are fine but not reliable that leaves subscriptions as the only viable method of funding hwbot you could even set it up so that subscription was not needed until the user had 50 points

there a very few people that benefit form manufacturing input so why do we care what they think?

i am a little more savy then you give me credit for you put a price on it and we will see what can be done

i think what you just said is more to do with your own need to talk with manufacturer when i started to bench there was no manufacture interest in us and the longer i have been around overclocking the more i realised that we don't need them

your problem is how you want to fund hwbot if you go with manufactures you will be bent over and told to touch your toes if hwbot need support to survive it should put a small $2 a year subscription on the service and stay in control of its self

benchtec is setup around the "team" every bencher contributes what they can and gets thanked by the rest of the "team" for there efforts we fight hard for every .1 point the "team" is central to our being here anything that makes the "team" less important will be hard to sell to benchtec members
