I understand Michael and yes it greatly boosts openCL but no card was mentioned in the limitations but was mentioned for Ice Storm. So I am sure you can understand my confusion and why I used it I wasnt trying to cheat I just go by the rules on the page.

Michael I am wondering why you removed my Realbench submission when in the Limitations on the competition page there is no mention of what card you have to use. On the Ice Storm page it specifies that a 7000 series Nvidea GPU has to be used. I dont see why I cant use a Radeon card for Realbench it doesnt specify a GPU Taken from the Limitations. LIMITATIONS Only use processors using socket 939. Please attach a picture of your overclocking rig. Must use official competition background: download Opteron CPUs allowed Multi-GPU allowed It was a fun Stage anyway Congratulations to the Winners and all that participated.

Who takes notice of the average on the wall if your CPU cant do better than that give it away then.

Everyone complaining about what hardware is to be used just like last year it was 478/479 was the focus of complaints this year 771 Quadro. The stages were proposed and accepted a few months ago in a thread on here no one was complaining then. If you are going to compete then compete. I am sure there will be plenty of competitors and if you dont like it put your hand up after its finished and propose the stages you want for next year. No matter who proposes what for these competitions its not gong to please everybody so either compete in it or find something else to compete in.

Yes it should have its own category and a specific name like "Phase Water Chiller" I dont think a radiator in a bucket of ice is in the same category as Phase Chilled Glycol.

This would be an ongoing problem all the time not just with him but all over zealous new users. If it could be done that all subs before say 2010 could have a watermark put on them saying Valid or where the CPU validation is normally it could say valid and a small HWBot icon that would stop them being reported. Just an idea.

I like the idea as well of limiting the Challenger series to 1 division. Especially if the points are better for winning that division. I have been trying to compete in multiple divisions as well as the TC and its too much to put 100% effort into everything.

Sounds more like he/you just forgot about Pitcairn include 7970 Tahiti leave out 7870 Pitcairn include 7770 Cape Verde and the cores below in the 7000 series. Just doesnt make sense other than it was forgotten Also its just one more word that would of been in the rules. I wouldnt expect it to be included now though thats just the way it happened so be it. Michael I do have great admiration for you and the rest of the staff here you all do a fantastic job.

Thats not a problem I have got the Tahiti anyway. It just seems silly that a model that sits in the middle of the ones listed cant be used. Ah well I suppose you cant be expected to remember all the models in the range.

In SC1 stage 5 the GPU's that are specified are Tahiti = 7970/R9-280X and lower but Pitcairn = 7870/R9-270X is not there I am wondering if its Ok to use a R9-270X seeing as its not listed and is a lower grade than Tahiti.

We have never had to have a screenshot before just the validation Link. With CPU and Mem clock validations the link is accepted without a screenshot for subs. If you sub anything else it gets knocked back and you cant sub it without a screenshot. If you made these rules in 2011 well why the hell now does the engine still accept CPUz subs without a screenshot? To spring this on people now is wrong when they have already subbed without one and subbed that way before and its been the accepted norm. For memclock validations does a screenshot with the CPUz mem tab suffice or do we have to have the CPU tab open too. And for CPU clock validations do we have to have both tabs open as well I do sometimes sub a screenshot but its never been a requirement.

Its ok I have got DDR2 boards I just rather DDR3. When is it going up on the Competition page
