    I seem to have gotten it to work on Win 7 by using an older version of Intel chipset and MEI drivers and disabling Windows updates I assume it will be the same on Win 10 as I also moved a drive from a Z270 system and it worked until Windows installed some updates

    Thank that's farther than I got and explains why when I moved a drive from Z270 to X299 and installed drivers it wouldn't work anymore
