  1. Hello. I have question. I have 10700k and RAM 4400Mhz CL19 patriot viper. on z 490 apex i need 1.2V LLC 5 for 5Ghz and VCCIO 1.21V and SA 1.23V and i didnt notice any instability and ram errors. but on Z590 Apex i need 1.440V LLC 6 for 5Ghz and 1.27V IO and 1.33V SA. when i run memtest z490 looks ok but on z590 insta errors. How can be so much difference on this platform using same CPU and RAM? and i notice VCCSA is weird i set 1.33V and HWinfo and board measuring point shows 1.29V but on default 1v is accurate on hwinfo and board points. is it BUG or board problem. i change z490 for z590 because pcie slot spacing. On z590 i can put 3-slot Gpu and have 1 slot space for air
  2. So i tried that TPU bios and luckily it worked, So now i have working Lightning and that PCie issue is gone too so really don't know what happened there.
  3. Hello. I have problem with this card, on card itself is lightning LE but according to Gpu-z bios is normal lightning because gpu clock shows 1080 Mhz and LE should have 1030 Mhz. if i run benchmark Pci-e shows that support pcie 3.0 x16 but card is running on pcie 1.1 x16. and gpu clock jump from 300Mhz (idle) to 576 Mhz which is weird. if i switch to Ln2 bios, gpu-z shows that gpu clock is 1000Mhz (which should be ok according to review of normal lightning) and if i run benchmark gpu clock jump to 1000mhz which is correct, but pcie shows pcie 3.0 x8. but card looks ok so i don't know why PCie act weird. And if LN2 bios clock work ok i think that standart bios might be broken so i would like to Flash it, but i can't find Bios for LE version only original Lightning so i don't know if i should try to flash it. Only LE bios i found is some unverified on TPU https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/166010/166010 Any idea? Thank you
  4. So it is christmas so i decided to try some overclocking, with Maximus Extreme X38 , my second Rampage III Extreme with bent pin, Maximus V Formula Z77 and Z87 Mpower MAX where i fix MEM slot. I did not write down 775 CPUs i started at 1366 I7-920, rev.D0, 3951A411 oc 1.39V, FSB 200 - 4208MHz I7-950, rev.D0, 3029A962 oc 1.4V, FSB 195 - 4491MHz I7-960, rev.D0, 3103B554 oc 1.41V, FSB 178, 4283MHz 2500K, rev.D2, 3144A911 4.7-1.4V 2500K, rev.D2, L046B079 4.7-1.45V 2600K, rev.D2, L101B554 4.2-1.35V G3258, rev.C0, 3419B813 4.6GHZ-1.39V G3258, rev.C0, L417B973 4.8 GHZ -1.4+V 4670K, rev.C0, 3338C439 4.7GHz - 1.4V 4690K, rev.C0, L331C514 4.8GHz- 1.3V/ 4.9 - 1.39V 4790K, rev.C0, L436C555 4.8-1.3V/ 4.9-1.35V I don't know if it is because my R3E has that slightly bent pin but i can't fully screw my cooler or i lose 1 mem chanel. On z77 no problem and on z87 only 4690k did not want to boot and this was pain in the ass after fifth attempt i figure it out, dont screw it all the way down and bingo...boot. I was hoping to achieve 5G on some CPU but nope. I don't have good enough CPU to do it on Air. The 2600k was absolutely worst didn't want to boot at 2133MHz like my 2500k, only 1866MHz works and 4.2G on 1.35V even after pumping 1.46V it will not do 4.3G such a bummer. But what pains me most i have 3770k and i couldn't use it. Because 3gen has 1 millimeter bigger IHS than 4-7gen so i couldn't use my delid tool...sad. From all motherboards the Z87 Mpower MAX was best for me, simple to use i would even say better Bios than Asus. The Command center for in OS OC is really heavy tool but luckily i found Lite version and it work flawlessly. On other hand on Maximus Extreme x38 i didn't find any tool i could use from OS and getting TurboV work on R3E is easy its on website but Maximus V was chalenge it is not on website. There is so many version. TurboV, TurboV EVO, TurboV Core. Thanks Asus. So tried older version from Maximus IV-Z and it works but because it is older version maybe it could couse some issues?? Who knows. Initially i wanted Z77x-UP7 for testing but first time using GIGA Bios and not impressed. I couldn't figure out how set fans to 100% all the time, only in OS thru their software i could do only 90% better than nothing, but that software was piece of crap was heavy on resources and constant crashing. And all this was 4 days full of FUN
  5. Hello. I would like to share my colection of hardware I started colection as fun project to OC old hardware, but after cleaning and testing i put them back into box, because i'm scared of destroying them. ?
