Why Catzilla? It's a bug-ridden mess, isn't really actively supported by the developer anymore, and on top of that it doesn't give global or hardware points anymore.
I'm also curious about the SLI/Crossfire stage, and why someone would go for something so niche, as it seems that not really all that many do the multi-card thing...

Not to mention that some stock coolers are absolutely terrible, and would wind up being replaced anyways.

Question: Just OpenCL for compute, or is CUDA also allowed? Rules don't mention this, but there is the option to choose between the two in the bench.

Using a datafile from a v3.3.3 32B run on my RTX 2080 keeps giving the error message of...
You are not using a compatible version of GPUPI - 32B: 3.3. You can download the latest version here: https://www.overclockers.at/news/gpupi-international-support-thread
Uhm... I`m using 3.3.3. Worked perfectly fine for a 1B submission. When creating the datafile, no errors were given either.
EDIT: Nevermind, apparently the GPU Pi submission tool will let you upload v3.3 datafiles and doesn`t double check. Apparently I was trying to upload a v3.3 score to the non 3.3 one. No idea why it wouldn`t check the datafile up front when it initially uploads it...

Yea I noticed that. Lol But as long as there is some form of points given for the bench it's all good. I know that some folks out there don't bench on an active team, so it useless for them. However, for those who bench with an active team, it will help that team out for sure.
True enough. Here's hoping that CPU gets points too. So odd that only GPU got points for that, but they're also pimping v3.3 CPU subs in Divisions.

Having quicker runs on the older hardware is going to save a lot of time. As well as increase the sub numbers for GPUPI for CPU v3.3. So hopefully we will see the point value increase. That would be a good thing for the old school benchers out there. Nice call Leeg
Points? Currently v3.3 doesn't give any points for 2D other than team power points. Only GPU Pi v3.3 on GPU's got points.
Increased subs for v3.3 wouldn't hurt though!

So.... Why the mention of video as a backup validation? Most people tend to focus on just benching.... So what happens if they don't have video? It's worded in a way that pretty much anyone could say something about your sub and you're forced to have a video ready, and not everyone wants to waste hard drive space like that and have a ton of videos lying around on a just in case basis...

Why are people able to sub 6700K's to this? LGA1151 is newer than LGA 1150....

Figured it out. For some strange reason, the emails say "left a message on your wall" and give a (non-clickable) link to your own personal wall.
.....All those comments were on the team's wall. Any chance the emails could be fixed with some sort of clarification so you know where the comment is left? ^_^;;;

Sadly this is what my profile's feed shows....
None of the various comments people have left show on my end for some reason. In Chrome while logged in, or Firefox when not logged in (didn't bother logging in on Firefox to see if it would or wouldn't).
Makes it a tad difficult to reply to such ^_^;;;;

Occasionally, someone will post on my wall on my profile.... I'll get the email, but none of the posts will actually show. Is there any easy way to fix this by chance?

I'm still wondering why team points are seasonal.....
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't notice there's now a seasonal and career ranking for such.
EDIT2: New setup is blindingly bright... Are we going to be getting a dark mode too?
-
Will the points allocation be fixed for those who switched teams after a competition ends, but put in a really good show while the competition was live? As in, will the points given be set as permanent, instead of some floating variable?

Ok so you approach the problem of lack of participation in competitions... by further reducing the value of competitions! ? Why not just kill them at this point? "Unnecessary server load" and all that.
I'm thinking it's more a case of tackling one problem at a time. The initially stated goal of rev8 was to reduce server load, and therefore focusing on the 24/7 aka daily stuff wound be the first thing to be tackled.
Instead of jumping directly to "sky is falling, omg panic" maybe we should ask if there's a road plan regarding competitions? Or better yet, instead of a knee-jerk reaction, there's always writing up a nice, detailed post about one's ideas for competitions as a proposal, and seeing where it goes from there...

Your point is valid, and no, you would not get points for your seasonal ranking if you can't beat your past season's ranking.
I'd say there is sufficient hardware on the market for you to either push newer/different hardware in the next season, or beat your own record.
That's going to do the exact opposite of encouraging participating then, especially with the wording of your reply because it pretty much comes across as "just throw (even more of your) money at the problem with how things are coded" if the somewhat likely scenario bigblock990 mentioned happens (pushing the limits does eventually put wear on gear, and/or kill it)... And a lot of benchers aren't putting much money into acquiring new hardware because new stuff is stupidly expensive.
A seasonal ranking should be just that, seasonal. It should pay absolutely no heed to what you did last year, and instead should go "do I have a sub for this THIS year? No, okay, it counts" instead of forcing you to beat your overall/career best, because now you have time-limited rankings, but you're forced to beat your previous best as well. Otherwise it's just two things being calculated that are overall, with one of them valid for an artificially limited timeframe.

For reference you can just check h20vsln2's profile to see what kind of good hw points you can get through an all air/water setup
You do realize that particular person is very well known for using a chiller, and then claiming it's only water, right? Not exactly the best person to be using for your example.

Are you talking about uat.hwbot.org? Can you show me a screenshot? It works perfect here. Just like production, it is running on Amazon AWS EC2 Ireland. I can't help it if you don't give specifics.
Please use this to verify it is actually down: https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/uat.hwbot.org
When I tried to access it last night, it was spitting out Error 500's after about ten seconds of trying to load. That was around... 22:00 MST (aka about -07:00 GMT). When I checked this morning at 06:00, it loaded fine, but there were no league or world rankings if you pulled up your profile page.

Since GPU Pi v3.3 for GPU is getting points... is the CPU side of it getting such too?

I don't think so, only GPU runs will be eligible for points.
Seems kind of silly to give JUST the GPU's points for v3.3. If you're going to have a bench that can do CPU and GPU, and it's already listed in the benches you can run why not give points to both?

Thanks all for casting your votes. All Catzilla benchmarks will be disabled for hardware points, and GPUPI v3.3 - 1B, GPUPI v3.3 - 32B and 3DMark - Time Spy Extreme will be eligible for points in the next update. ETA this week.
Ooooh, does this mean CPU runs of GPU Pi v3.3 will also get points?
-
Whoooo, it returns! Will there be... Oh, I see there's already the option to submit to both standard and stability. Nice!
Definitely looking forward to one of the quick benches coming back, doubly so the extra addition of a second option. I'll also inquire as to when we will see points return to this bench

Hi, sorry but are you saying am3*has a score boost with audio driver ?
I've barely run AquaMark3 and never made mention of that bench, so no idea where you'd get the impression I was talking about it...

Keep all current benches and add GPUpi v3.3 (or 4.0 when it comes out) and Time Spy Extreme. Remove some or all of Catzilla because the vendor support is flaky to nonexistent.
While Catzilla used to be my thing (and probably gives a decent portion of my current points - Yup, 4/15 globals, and 1/40 of my hardware apparently), it's been a bug ridden mess since 3.3. Removing points from Catzilla and giving GPU Pi v3.3 as well as Time Spy Extreme such would be a nice move that provides good balance for points (3 removed, 3 gained) AND show more support to those companies that are actually willing to improve their products... They also have a reasonable amount of support for various generations of graphics cards.
Also, GPU Pi only has annoying cheesy
dubstepEDM if you put on a playlist for such, while Catzilla you're forced to have audio drivers to get max points, and forced to listen if you want to hear cues a run is having a problem before graphics glitches (or a system lockup) hit. -

If a VRMark was to be included I would make it Blue Room
Orange Room is DX11 and launches in Windowed mode (Changing it means invalid run) which means that Crossfire wouldn't be enabled on older cards while Blue Room being DX12 works just fine with everything and while for benching mGPU isn't a big focus I'd still like the option
I didn't know about that - good to know.
Hey @richba5tard, can we get Blue Room on the vote list too?

Bump. Seriously, why haven't points been given for this yet?
