  6. If you've never used the switch before then it was probably shoddy construction or bad QC on MSI's part; unfortunately.

  8. Meesa use deez: G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16Q-32GTZ - Newegg.com Enjoy!
  9. 1.6 for teh original Godlike for me would hang at code 95 for 2 mins and then power off at 4.4Ghz core, 4.0Ghz uncore, and 3200Mhz Ram. Went back to latest BETA BIOS for that board. Now testing out Godlike Carbon and Asus Rampage V Edition 10 board.
  10. Perhaps maybe everyone SHOULD switch back to auto settings before flashing a new BIOS version? It just seems like it would be a safer practice overall.
  11. It can't be cheap ICs! The Godlike board has already destroyed one G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 stick and TWO Corsair Dominator PLATINUM DDR4 sticks of mine. Are you telling me two of the best, well known, and top quality RAM vendors like Corsair (Dominator Platinum Line) and G.Skill (TridentZ line) both their top tier brand of memory are both cheap ICs? No. I can't believe that. I just can't. Besides, I have ALWAYS been honest and supported the Godlike motherboard (I even just bought a Godlike Carbon board, so let's hope that one doesn't destroy my memory chips like my original Godlike). Pepi and I are on good terms so I hope he sees that we're NOT lying about this issue. I have a TON of respect for Pepi here and I just hope he sees that it COULD have been a board issue and not a RAM issue when two different top tiers of two top quality RAM sellers have been destroyed on the BIOS updates.
  12. You had the 04,60,55 debug LED boot loop too with one of your sticks of G.Skill RAM on the Godlike?! I am having this same issue that seemed to appear out of nowhere like the Godlike destroyed one of my RAM sticks... This happened when I updated to BIOS version 1.4 from 1.2 I believe.
  13. Oh well, the black color scheme was well worth it. In my opinion, this board should have originally been released only in BLACK and or Carbon to begin with. Red is just so cliche nowadays and EVERY motherboard manufacturer is using Red & Black in their high-end gaming boards (except surprisingly Asus! They are using Gunmetal and Pewter now but they started that silly red & black craze). I hope MSI goes out on their own and develops their own gaming color schemes. I hate red and black. ALL BLACK looks amazing and black and white looks nice. Also I hope they throw in some PURPLE. Purple would be f'ing INCREDIBLE!! Pepi-sama, tell them to make a black and purple high-end motherboard!!!!
  14. No worries! I had a feeling you've been pretty busy. I just updated my MSI X99A Godlike Gaming to an MSI X99A Godlike Gaming CARBON! Well, actually when you think aboot it, it really isn't an update hardware-wise as it is more a update COLOR-wise than anything else. I think the normal Godlike and the CARBON GODLIKE are basically the same exact motherboard just with different colored "Dragon Armor"; is that right? Maybe a different color-skinned BIOS too and other different looking things. Wait no. I take it back. There IS an upgrade. Now the RAM slots are also metal covered on the CARBON. The normal Godlike RAMslots are plain black plastic. Maybe the Mystic Lights have been a little updated as well. I have not installed the motherboard yet. I'll let people know. It definitely looks 1000x more BADASS!
  15. Heya Pepsi-norang! I think tis time to add the MSI X99A Godlike Gaming Carbonated motherbroad to the first page list and add all its BIOS and software and hardware informations. I just got my Godlike Carbon delivered TODAY and it looks sweet like PEPSI!
  16. I can recommend these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231915 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-232-211 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820011261 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233904 These are ESPECIALLY great: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232207 I would not recommend any higher than 3200Mhz RAM for X99 boards but you MIGHT be okay w/ 3333Mhz depending on how well your chip overclocks.
  17. Well 0.000v provides NO power. But 0.001v still provides SOME powar!!
  18. IT CAN GO LOWER?!?!?! OH MY.... I must test this out! Maybe it will run at 0.001v!!
  19. Pepi-samamamama!!! I'm now running: 4.6ghz Core (Core Voltage @ 1.20v) 4.0ghz Uncore (vRing @ 1.25v [Auto]) OC Ring 1 @ Auto OC Ring 2 @ 1.45v CPU is under some custom water loop that I thought up using a Alphacool MONSTA 480 rad in push/pull, EK 250 res/Laing D5 pump combo, and a Watercool HEATKILLER IV Anthracite/Nickel-Copper CPU waterblock. Is this ideal?
  20. And it did for me too! Keeping mine now at 4.4ghz and 4.0ghz cache/uncore.
  21. Pepi, I've started running into a problem. Whether I'm overclocked or not, sometimes my PC totally locks up and I get a weird loud audio buzzing noise that plays constantly when I lock up. The only way to get my system to respond is to hard reset it. Have you ever seen this or heard of this happening before and do you have ANY idea what it might be? It usually only happens when I'm in a game or watching some sort of video.
  22. How aboot I invite you to my house and we spend as few hours fine tuning my overclock? I'll even cook you dinner. _^
  23. Pepi, NOW I FINALLY understand! Thank you so much! Also, you say that: - vRing (1.25v~1.3v for 24/7) - Ring OC2 (1.4~1.45v for 24/7) ...should be enough to stablize 4Ghz. What do you recommend if I wanna stable 4.4Ghz?
