  1. Here are 2 Fully unlocked bios's for the Z490 Dark KINGPIN 1.07 - http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=66629967083638317470 1.09 - http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=64415733472824080928 (1.09 Has 2-3 submenus that will immediately crash the bios, I believe those are RC ACPI Settings, Connectivity Configuration, and HD Audio Configuration, 1.07 does not have this problem) Thanks to Lost_n_bios from the win-raid forums for providing these bios files.
  2. (narrative) This card has threads all over the net about its inability to work at factory Boost speeds....or even factory base clock. Apparently the first batch are the worst and they can be identified by the lack of backplate. I picked up one of these and got stuck into figuring out why they suck (sorry, eVGA) A lot of comments online pointed towards the HDMI firmware and i'm certain that a % of people fixed their problem using the HDMI firmware patch from nVidia. The MHz issues are real, though. Online comments talking about hacking the MHz away until the card is running nVidia's basic profile of 1126MHz. The finger was pointed at the eVGA Boost table. I spent a lot of time reducing MHz and having the same blackscreen issue usually very soon after load was applied, regardless of MHz. nVidia's debug mode really really helped and with it enabled, the problem was gone... but at 1075MHz, the GTX980 is being outperformed by a healthy GTX970. Strangely, applying debug MHz in a BIOS flash didn't give me stability. eVGA used their own PCB design for the FTW card and after thinking about the problem in a different way and thinking about the PCB squeal that was audible before blackscreen, I tried reducing the voltage. BINGO! The eVGA PCB design is messed up and can't handle voltage+load, even though the TDP doesn't get anywhere near 100%. There might be a hardware fix (mllrkllr? Buildzoid? ....Tin?) but I can't see it being pretty. With the vCore reduced to 1.05v, the card can run towards 1300MHz with no problems...and really nice temperatures. Anyone putting together a modded BIOS should look at the fan profile too. eVGA missed the sweetspot there as well. The MHz are lower than the 1380MHz Boost that eVGA promise...yes... but the card works and that's better than nothing. Higher MHz are off-limits because they need a voltage that the card straight up can't handle. BIOS attached. It's for the FTW card only (any compatibility with other cards is co-incidental and I guarantee nothing) The HDMI fix HASN'T been baked in. MIght get around to that. Flash at your own risk. If unsure of the steps involved, please ask for advice or don't do it. Card boosts to a very solid 1265MHz (bit of breathing space for different ASIC quality) and the RAM is set to 1850MHz (again, breathing space) Fan is set to 20% idle, moving up to 30% at 44 Celcius. vCore set to 1.05v for all Boost states. eVGA GTX980FTW K404 MHz and fan fix.rom
  3. Well, since EVBOT having transition state currently, here's alternative solution for you, EPOWER people. Since controller accepts controls from PMBus, attached Raspberry Pi can talk to EPOWER and adjust voltages. Voltage range is 0.6 to 2.0V Tested with Model B Rev2.0 (not plus), but should work with any Pi. Details in this article for those who interested. Try it, and let me know if any problem Also old-school hardware-only way with trimpot resistor is covered too.
  4. Hey guys, Have another sale for you today. Today we have two EVGA TITAN X Superclocked graphics cards, one of them has a EK waterblock and backplate already installed on it, the other one has the stock cooler but i have an optional EK waterblock and backplate for it. My heatware - http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=92588 You can find much more buying/selling feedback for me on overclock.net as i do most of my buying and selling there - http://www.overclock.net/classifieds/feedback/index/user_id/318704 1. EVGA Titan X Superclocked with EK waterblock and backplate already installed. About 5 weeks old, absolutely mint condition, only overclocked one time for less than an hour in 3dmark firestrike. Flashed to cyclops3.rom bios for unlocked voltage control and unlocked power limits. Never run past 35c on the core. Has Gelid GC extreme thermal paste. EK waterblock and backplate pre installed, comes with the stock air cooler and screws. Comes with all the original packaging and accessories for the titan X and the accessories for the EK waterblock and backplate. Again, its in absolute flawless condition, hasnt been powered on for more than a day at most, bought it to finish my tri sli system, finished the system, look final pictures then decided i hate the trouble of tri sli in windows 10 (nvidia drivers pls), took apart the rig not even an hour after taking final pictures, put it in the box and havent touched it since then. It ran stock for about a day, tested the overclock on it really quick, an easy 1500+ on the core and an easy 2000+ on the memory in firestrike and that wasnt even the maximum for the card, it still has plenty left in the tank though YMMV depending on the system used. Price - $950 shipping - I cover all shipping costs to anywhere in the US48, international orders the buyer must pay any and all shipping charges including any customs charges. Payment - Paypal verified with a paypal valid address ONLY. 2. EVGA Titan X Superclocked. About 3 weeks old, 100% flawless condition, only run at stock for about a week, never gamed on, never benchmarked, never overclocked. Been using it as my web browsing and youtube watching gpu every other day or so. Originally bought it to do a MITX build in a custom case, ended up with a 980ti going into that instead so this has just been sitting on my daily rig i setup after tearing down the tri sli watercooled rig. It is running the stock bios as i have never overclocked it or messed with it in precision X. Temperatures on it have always been around 30-33c. Comes with all the original packaging and accessories. Price - $920 shipping - I cover all shipping costs to anywhere in the US48, international orders the buyer must pay any and all shipping charges including any customs charges. Payment - Paypal verified with a paypal valid address ONLY. 3. EK TITAN X Waterblock and backplate. Brand new in box, never opened and never used. Comes with all the original accessories and packaging. They have literally never ever been opened. Bought to put on the Titan X in this thread for that MITX build, doesnt fit the custom pcb 980ti i have so its gotta go! Price - $110 for the waterblock and backplate, not seperating them. shipping - I cover all shipping costs to anywhere in the US48, international orders the buyer must pay any and all shipping charges including any customs charges. Payment - Paypal verified with a paypal valid address ONLY. If you buy the waterblock with the air cooled titan x, get both for only $950 total! Everything is already boxed up and ready to be shipped out today, all i need is a buyer so i can print the shipping label and drop them off at UPS. Thanks for viewing, any questions or comments post them here or feel free to send me a PM and ill answer ASAP.

  6. I have tried almost every bios i can find. But still cannot see to get this chip running. Any help would be much appreciated. I see almost every other version of EVGA's 4 way motherboard has a bios that supports these new gulftown chips (759,760) but sadly the bios they have will not work with the gear i currently have. Thank you for any advice in advance..
