  1. For Dry Ice cooling. With mounting hardware for 775/1366/2011 sockets. LN2 is hard to get where I live (permits and price are a barrier), hence will be using with DICE. Would prefer if the pot is 1-piece instead of 2 Please let me know if you have something you want to sell that fits above requirements. Thanks in advance and appreciate your help!
  2. Hey all, i recently got my hands on a 1080ti for ln2 and have been encountering problems which i'm quite confident come from cracking thermal paste. I haven't been able to find much good info online on gpu pot mounting and other tricks people might use to help with cracking, paste applications, etc... so i thought i'd make a post asking for any and all advice so others facing the same issue can find answers. Setup: i've been using kryonaut on my 1080ti KPE and an early version of what i beleive is a kingpin fat. been having issues when i go cold, gpu will run benches 100% stock but as soon as i generate enough heat (be it thru just increasing voltages past ~1.4V, or running 1.35V then increasing clocks) the gpu crashes, so after extensive remounting and testing and research i've attributed the issue to thermal paste cracking and have been trying to figure out what i can do. There are a few threads about this type of issue for cpu XOC with a decent amount of info, but nothing on GPU's. My mounting procedure usually involves applying a layer of paste on the die evenly with a spatula, putting the pot on, getting the screws well tightened with my bare hands, heating it up to ~35c, giving each screw a lil extra tightening, then going cold.
  3. To the sales the best LN2 Pot "Beast" from der8auer I think I don't need to explain, pretty much everyone knows this pot. The pot has been used many times and is in very good condition. The accessories are complete and the included insulation is in good condition. # 250 EUR Price without shipping and fees for payment. Payment can be done with Paypal or bank transfer.
  4. Im just looking to buy any kind of Ram ln2 pot. New, used or whatever. Doesnt matter just want to make my memory cold!
  5. EXPERIMENTAL! The purpose of this is testing and experimentation only. Also, ensure you have proper cooling (chiller or good water-cooling or even subzero)Desc: This "mod" will unlock voltage control on MP2888A based card with digital voltage: 2080Ti Lightning. Core voltage will be unlocked also power limit, so be very careful what you're doing, I haven't tested this on retail card, my Lightning has NDA hardmods so test this yourself properly with caution.STEPS :1) Download XOC Pack that is here in attachments.2) Flash bios "kp.rom" to your card ("kp.rom" bios is Kingpin XOC bios with no overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating protection, be aware ! Fans are spinning 100% all the time for safety)3) After flashing bios and restarting PC, place file "MSIAfterburner.oem2" into your MSI Afterburner folder on your hard disk (C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner).4 ) Go to your Afterburner settings and set "Unlock voltage control" to "third party". Other settings are in the screenshot in attachments.5) Restart afterburner and enjoy voltage control, however, please check your temps and voltage through probes placed on side of the card with a multimeter, the +mv value is not correct, u have to try how much it adds actually.PLEASE: after doing this let me know how to mod works because I didn't test it on retail cards yet, thanks and enjoy. 6. Hello everyone. I hope all is well! I'm on the search for a strong 8700K or 8086K that will do 6.75G+ R15. Help a bro out. Lol
  7. Hi guys, I got the 2080Ti lighting and i need (probably) "true" LN2 bios + Afterburner Extreme, where and how can i get those ? if someone has them can u share ? thanks.
  8. Since I have 2 CPU pots and I really need to get some better bdie. Ahh the bdie struggle. Lol I'm selling my F1 Dark with red mounting top. $150 shipped within US
  9. So stupid question, has anyone tried to run the z77 chipset itself on dice or ln2? I mean I assume it wouldn't help bclk OC much at all if any, and it'd probably cold bug before the cpu. Does any one have any info on this? I kinda want to try it at least for the lulz, but if I know for example that it'll cold bug at -60c that'd be helpful going in.
  10. Looking for a cpu pot and a dewar or two to get into extreme league. CPU pot can be shipped. Dewar would be preferable if I could pick it up, especially at the bench meet in Philly.
  11. Guys, are u remember at your first LN2 overclocking? There will be many oldschool guys and I would like to see some shared things, photos, funny stuffs etc propably 2010 year I found few photos of my second LN2 experience. I was there with few friends from Czech hardware forum, no one of us had experience with LN2 OC and we had also 3 daily "highend" computers cooled by aircooling. It was fun, bad I did so many mistakes... At isolation setup, at fans (In reality it was intake airflow directly to the board , no outtake airflow) First experience with coldbug (WTF is it, I thought that time, very bad control of CB issues) But overall, it was fun and I saw in my hands few 6 GHz runs at Phenom II and crazy scores with 980X also.
  12. One of my dewar lose vacuum. I have vacuum pump but i need other parts. Dewar looks like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/MVE-SC-20-20-vapor-LIQUID-NITROGEN-TANK-Cryogenic-Dewar-tank/321827460148?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D33097%26meid%3D9735227fcf914465a5353c41746544da%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D221849619347
  13. Hello Dear Overclockers! Some of you may already know - we have small overclocking community in Georgia - Overclockers.ge ( http://www.overclockers.ge ) and we are doing our part in the world of OC. I wish to share our success with you too. About two weeks ago, local university organized LGA2011 stock cooler overclocking championship final stage and I decided to show young overclockers how it's all about extreme OC. That time local frequency record was 7350 MHz, I decided to break it. First time I used Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard and despite its pretty unpredictable nature, I managed to tame it and done 7999 MHz - http://hwbot.org/submission/2519435_ At the university OC championship, Gigabyte MB refused to turn on at all. To compensate for that, after 3 days I decided to make a livestreaming OC event, this time with my old ASUS Maximus Formula. MB is quite old, with RMA on its history once and changed chipset, which loves a bit higher voltages than normal for stability. I expected to just jump over my previous 7999, get in 8000 MHz league and show young overclockers everything in live event. Here are the Hardware used: MB: ASUS Maximus Formula (X38 Chipset) - Flashed Rampage Formula BIOS, Unmodded Stock MB, no Vdroop, Vcore, OVP mods CPU: Intel Celeron 356 - Batch: 5634B341 Pot: Kingpin Cooling Dragon F1 TIM: GC Extreme RAM: 1 x Team Xtreem 512 MB, Micron D9GMH GPU: Zotac GeForce 9500 GT PSU 1: Inter-Tech CobaNitroX 750 Watts PSU 2: Codegen 350 Watts - for fans only Thermometer: UEi DT304 Apollo IV OS: Totally stripped down WinXP SP3 and LN2 ofc. But then my old Maximus Formula begin making wonders... Booted flawlessly @ 8000 MHz and made higher results possible - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520651_ Then it was 8133 MHz - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520654_ Then 8262 - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520655_ 8292 - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520656_ Breaking 8300 MHz barrier - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520658_ And the top result for the day - 8322 MHz - http://hwbot.org/submission/2520659_ The result has been a great success for our community. Considering that the CPU is unlapped and MB is stock, there seems to be some room for improvements. I plan to lap CPU and pot, do Vdroop mod to MB and try again. As of Loadline Calibration it gave worse results. 8322 MHz was done with Loadline Calibration disabled. Here you can watch the 3-hour session on Youtube: Here are the pics taken during the event:
  14. Hello guys! Just a few pictures and results to share with you from a nice bench weekend with Trinity. Nothing exceptional since the cpu was pretty slow and unwilling to clock high in single threaded benchmarks, but I did have a good time anyway. No 3D at all, I think we've all seen what 7660d can do and I wasn't too eager to fight with OCP limits and whatnot. Just pure cpu performance in XP 32. Some random pictures of parts in my rig. The 8400gs did a phenomenal work... displaying the dekstop Super Pi I was surprised to see the FX-8350 being slower than Bulldozer in this benchmark. I mean, BD is pretty bad as it is... So I guess expectations should be held low for 5800k. A decent 14,109 sek @ 6730 MHz is what i achieved. Efficient but I would ask for more cpu MHz please Astonished by this shitty performance I went on to Spi32M, which have become some kind of favorite benchmark. Sadly I couldn't get copy waza working on this new platform, neither did RAM above 2400 Mhz stay stable for long so all in all only a mediocre time = 14 min 15 sek at 6,6 GHz. IMC working at 3,4 GHz was a nice surprise though and it sure did a lot for the efficiency. (same settings with 2,9 GHz IMC = 14m 20 sec.) IIRC this is pretty much the performance of a <5 GHz Deneb. Pifast Thankfully Piledriver is faster here than Bulldozer. Not many people have bothered to run Pifast on 5800K so I took a pretty easy silver cup, of course a long way to Hicookies awesome 7,2 Ghz run... more than my cpu even can make a suicide screen So after having witnessed this powerful display of single threaded performance I went on to Wprime. Or actually UCBench but that crashed constantly so I couldn't take away Leeghoofds gold. Wprime 32M worked like it should though, 3rd place at 6520 MHz. Really maxed out cpu so I guess CherV and Hicookie didn't go all out in 1024M... Wprime But I did! Ignoring the fact that this mobo has a mere 4 phases to the cpu I jolted through 1.9 Volt. Worked like a charm. ~250W of power at the wall so I guess it's ok even for this mobo. Looks good, but who cares about 32M. What really kills hardware is 1024M: I had 6350 MHz crash so I guess this is pretty much it with this cpu. One gold, one silver, one bronze And some extremely unstable benchmarks below. just a quick max bclk during warm up.

  16. A few days ago Sophocles ( sofos1990 ) asked me if I wanted to bench with him and his cr@ppy Core i7 980X, he purchased a Sparkle GTX 480 and wanted to get some numbers down with that setup before selling that bloody 980X of his. So I said "sure, why not", I haven't had an LN2 session in the last few... months and I needed some of that benching adrenaline, after some phone calls all the details were taken care of and we had a date : I picked his brand new card and my Palit GTX 480 as well and gave them a nice conformal spray bath. Since sofos1990's 980X was better ( despite being a cr@ppy CPU ) than my best 980X ( how typical ) I decided to take down some numbers with my card as well, my HWbot account needed a refresh. The numbers we nailed down that day aren't actually worth mentioning, his 980X geezer was barely capable of running AquaMark 3 near 6100MHz and 3D Mark03 around 6GHz. Sofo's VGA was also better than mine, and thanks to the decent clocks his card managed to go through in 3D Mark03 sofo's grabbed the 6th place in the 3D Mark03 single card rankings with his 136.886 3D Mark03 run ( CPU 6GHz, GPU/MEM 1250/1050 ). He also captured a ~421k ( 420.937 ) AquaMark 3, and a ~52k 3D Mark05 ( 51872 ) with our last drops of LN2 ( barely made it to the save score window ). So was this long story worth reading ? Maybe not, but the following paragraph probably is I'm pretty sure that sofo's would kill himself for not saving some LN2 that day to try my newest 980X ( which was taking a nap on my 24/7 classified setup : ) 2 days ago, I gathered 14L of LN2 and a lil' friend of mine, AMDnord to help me out. To my surprise, the 980X ( 3005F210 ) was a good chip ( not what I'd love to have and fall in love with, but considering my... bad luck & karma, I should be happy for having this one ). We started the testing with the usual CB & CBB testing in dual channel memory mode, the numbers ? No coldbug at all, and -154C cold boot bug Then we did some 3D Mark Vantage CPU TEST(S)ing, 1.6V 5.4GHz done, 1.7V 5.7GHz done, 1.8V 5.95GHz done. Then we tried AquaMark 3 as we had just a few liters of LN2, 6450MHz AquaMark done at 1.85V ( success! Borat said  ). Tried to raise the UnCore then, but had limited success with that, I think the 73 BIOS for the X58 Classified E760 isn't exactly mature for 980X UnCore clocking yet, anyway, 6450MHz CPU and 4.5GHz or so UnCore = done too. I was planning to keep 1-2L of LN2 to try the lovely GTX3 triple channel memory kit Corsair sent me on LN2 aiming for DDR3-3000 triple channel, but the happiness my 980X gave me with its clocking made me lose track of time and LN2 supply and the session ended unexpectedly during a 3D Mark Vantage run ( which was run with an old driver which we used for AQ3 since it was the best of the ones I've tested before, so we missed 1.5-2.0k for that ), we ran out of LN2 during the second CPU test, and the system BSODed right after AMDnord pressed the save score button I'm preparing myself and my new hardware for more LN2 sessions, and if my plans pan out well, I'll have 2 more LN2 sessions ( 55L of LN2 each ) by this weekend I'll leave you with some screenshots/pictures while I'm leaving the room to insulate the new VGAs Many many thanks to: for the awesome RAM, thanks Alex, Mike & Peter. for the TruePower Quattro 1200, thanks Korinna & Maurice!
