Decent thermometer

Featured Replies

Looking for a thermometer, but not something as pricey as a Fluke

i'm looking for dual input, and will display -100.X (so with a decimal point when below -100)

let me know if you have something, or know where i can get something posted to Australia

Unit says 60 euro (VAT 20% of this?), and shipping is a further 45 euro, getting pretty pricey there I think unfortunately.

I'm interested in that unit, just need to find a definitive price and place that isnt going to charge so much for postage.

I use this Voltcraft: PL120 T2. Seen other people use it too.

You would need different probes though. I had a link with good enough cheap K-type probes (there is some differences in accuracy between samples, but they were so cheap you could even bin them :D Link is not active anymore, so I can't recommend anything, except to buy from a proven source like kingpin or der8auer.

PS: I think it was this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-type-Thermocouple-Temperature-Measurement-Probe-/360847662798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5404325ece

* Just make sure you're getting the T2, because the seller listed T2 cheaper than T1 and both have the T1 description. Link is just the first one I found on ebay.

I think both 120 and 102 will work the same - they are almost identical, except design and display.
