I might have a try on the OCF and see if it's the same behavior. But I think one of the sticks isn't as good as the other and/or doesn't like the lower temps as much. 15? that's PCH code iirc. Did you insulate the board like in the m8i subzero guide? I think that the pch and vrm don't like to be too cold and the board is so cramped it can be an issue. Noxinite 328
But only at above 2800C6? Would be very weird. Maybe it was a bclock issue? Edited October 12, 2018 by Noxinite

Set Internal PLL Overvoltage to auto, when it's enabled some boards go right to code 15 Edit: from Raja "Just an FYI: Code 15 will also happen if memory is clocked too high for IMC to handle." and "Code 15 means IMC halted before DRAM training even started. Either DRAM is very badly unstable or IMC has an issue (could be IMC voltage needs changing also). Assuming no bent or poorly contacting pins in socket (sometimes CPU might need re-seating)" Edited October 13, 2018 by GtiJason

I managed to get 2918 42/43/4/4 working at 2.36v on my sticks. They just kept eating those volts and taking it. Funnily at lower bclock and higher ram divider it wouldn't pass the initial loop compared to passing with wazza at the shown settings. Wow, I don't remember the OCF going up that high on Vdimm! Maybe that's 2.3V + LLC? I need to get out this board again and play with it.

It needs high vdimm for 2720-2750c8-11-11 & 2933c9-12-12. Test kit because I ran em daily at 2v (2800c9) for over 2 years with little to no degradation edit: think Nox was referring to the Asus Impact vii I sent him, they go to 2.4v too. Also MSI XPower's did too Edited February 4, 2019 by GtiJason
Noxinite 328
The earlier posts by me are on Z97 OCF, and later posts are on the Impact. Both do >2.4V DRAM, but the Impact needs LN2 mode flipped for it.
Luumi 69
Did some PSC testing in ages with new L310B488 4770K that I got on OCF. Bad CPU core wise but really really good IMC. I got my Patriot 2500 CL9 Sector 5s up to 2850-2860mhz stable with 8-13-8-28 1T and tight sub timings, 2860 always crashed at loop 16 so it is close. I even tried 2900mhz with identical timings and passed 1M, but 32M is instant falure of course. Scaling is insane, they scaled well up to 2.08v and I was too afraid to push more just on air. with 1.96v they max out at around 2800 8-12-8-28 1T and 2.08v allows 2850+. @TaPaKaH @yosarianilives @GtiJason @Noxinite @l0ud_sil3nc3 Edited July 8, 2020 by Luumi

l0ud_sil3nc3 632
@Luumi never tried 8-13-8 but looks fast for sure for air clocks at 2850+ Nice to see PSC in 2020 1
d0minat0r 94
When die USB of any oc formula only solder 5V directly on 5v pin on usb all work good. With that method I repaired Z87 oc formula, X99 oc formula, Z97 oc formula and Gigabyte X99 SOC

Hope I can free up some more time soon for the OCF + PSC, so much fun to be had with X48 REX, Z97 OCF and new stuff like APEX XI / APEX XII

redux 8
After testing about a dozen quad cores I have found an L310B 4770K with an IMC good enough for my purposes and I've been doing a lot of PSC binning on this board lately. Tested only ~a dozen sticks on this setup so far but some nice results I'm not sure if it's because of this IMC or what, but I have had crazy scaling on most sticks, 2V+ easy on all so far and with the right settings even scaling 2.1V+, 2.2V+, and at least booting even 2.3V on some sticks (a mediocre 2000C9 Trident booted 2.33V!), with normal ambients and auto VTTDDR. Helps me not to feel bad about average sticks by MHz/volt terms with scaling like this 😁 : Maybe even 2666C7 tCWL6 or 2666C6 could be done with cold ambients and stupid volts? tRDRDs can go a little tighter here (not sure about 4-5-4), but just a bit of fun: For point of reference this stick does 1200 7-11-7-28 tCWL8 1.7V, 1300 8-12-7-28 tCWL6 1.84V, 1333 8-12-8-28 tCWL6 1.9V, 1350 8-12-8-28 tCWL6 2.01V, 1400 8-13-8-28 tCWL6 2.08V all tight subs. Again, far from golden lovo. +0.3/+0.25/+0.25 used for all testing except the 2950 screen where a bump to +0.28 IOD helped boot consistency. An even better IMC I suspect will improve tRCD12 and tRCD13 ceilings for this kind of testing, 1375 8-12-8 is at least bootable yet 8-13-8 stops at only 1414 32M...
