Intel XTU not running, at all, on my system.

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've something to ask which I can't figure out for the life of me.

I got XTU to run once on my 4770K and Z97 OC Formula, and never again. I've even resorted to reinstalling, changing clocks, changing voltages, changing RAM configs, everything you can think of. It must be down to software somewhere but I don't know what I am missing. I didn't install anything differently than to the time my other install ran it once, but now it just won't work at all.

Installed on the system: chipset drivers, ME drivers and XTU. Everything else is left as is by the Windows installer. It's a full install of 7.

Please help me here. I am at a massive loss as what to try.

I've just noticed that my time/date settings are massively wrong, could that be the culprit?

EDIT: I forgot to say that I have also tried older versions as well as the most recent one.

This is the message I get, which springs up nearly instantly after pressing run.

Have you tried at lower clocks ?

or even at default clocks ?

Your .net framework is installed and updated ?

Thanks for the suggestion guys.

I'll get rid of the OC profile and see what happens. :)

you need to enable HPET in bios ;) I believe his profiles disable this by default as its not needed for any other bench.

Thanks Splave! I'll give that a bash this evening when I'm in from work. :)
