makem
Hi, Does anyone know if there is some kind of limit at 170Mhz bclk setting? I have i5 6400 and Gigabyte z170-hd3p motherboard. I can't seem to get my computer to boot even one MHz over that. I'm sure my processor could do more as it will do 4590Mhz (at 170 bclk) at 1.25v. Jumper118
no limits on the cpu, but the board may be limiting the cpu with it being low end.
pepinorang
If the board does not have an external clockgen, 170MHz is about the max you can get.

Looking at the specs of this board, it looks like it doesn't have one.
