B-Die Binning

Recommended Posts

i pump more volt but with more voltages OS can not booted and get blue screen

but in more frq and more volt lower timming be possible for Example :

3700 12-12-12-28 with 1.8~1.85 all benchmarks pass

but in 3400 14-14-14-30 with 1.55~1.6 i cant Run and pass XTU or 3Dmark Time Spy

I hope get my point

I would try lowering timings and test stability first. Then try setting them more tight one by one.

Are these high voltages neccesary? I only need 1,72v - 1.78v for 3866 c12 depending on the quality of my sticks (I have more then one set).

@Noxinite :

hey dude

yes, i try 4k maxmem on win 7 X64(problem not solved), but on win 10 i most to say not yet. should i try it on win 10 ? is it necessary? what about lower than 4k can u explain more?

@Sparks\.nl:

tnx bro for push

how ever i tested full range voltages 1.45~1.9 With many different timmings modes

i have 2 kit 4*8GB (b-die 3400 cl 16) and 2kit 2*8GB (b-die 3600 cl 16) from Gskill :(

but on GA board all of these have same behavior :(

Hi, i have little question for buy B-Die kit, i can choose this from Indonesian Market :

1 x G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB 3200 C14-14-14 1.35v IDR 2.800.000

1 x G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB 3600 C16-16-16 1.35v IDR 3.000.000

1 x G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB 3866 C18-19-19 1.35v IDR 3.200.000

or

2 x Patriot Viper 16GB 3400 C16-18-18 1.35v IDR 1.600.000

Whats better chance to have good kit from the list above, i have target for above 4000 12-11-11 32m waza? Thanks :)

Hello people, first time poster.

I am an owner of a ryzen 7 1700 and had bad luck with hynix ram going over 2400 so i ordered this kit which i was told were samsung b die:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232443

Got it for 188 bucks with promo code so not too crazy (only 60 bucks more than 3200 cas 16 stuff i have now).

Just kind of curious what you guys think i should try running these at? Would trying 14 14 14 34 3200 be a good starting off point? If that doesnt boot what would be good timings to try for 2933?

Gonna try and read a bunch of this thread, just googled "samsung b die" and found this lol.

3200c14 is a solid base for b die, if you are stuck at 2933 for whatever reason try 13-13 or 12-12, all these settings work at least on Intel without any problems at 1,35v

Since this thread exists and i don't want to open a new one...

I'm on an apex board and i have some shitty corsair vengance led 3200 16-18-18-36 sticks.

At the point i was buying the whole system i had to skimp a bit on some parts... maybe worth to mention and i wasn't that deep into benchmarking like i am now...

I can't and i won't bin sticks, but what should i buy now as an upgrade? Should i simply buy a 4266MHz trident z rgb kit and check if i can run it that high? If my memory controller is a ugly biatch which refuses that high speeds, is that kit probably still good so i can go lower clocks but tighter timings?

Cheers

You guys are all shooting for 4000-11-11-11 or there abouts but I am on broadwell-E, what timings should I aim for at 3200 to 3333mhz with Zadak B die?

:nana:

3200 at 100 strap or 3333MHz (125 strap) 12-12-12-21 at 1.55 should be doable if your IMC/mobo can handle it... Which board mate ?

MSI Godlike/X99 SOC Champion here only do 3200MHz 32M stable, R5E/Godlike Carbon does 3333MHz with same hardware. SA voltage is important!!

just stay away from rgb and also from high binns, you will be better getting a 3600 c17 or c16 kit and be done with it.

Thanks for the quick answer, while i appreciate it, i would like to know why you and those guys who thanked you for the post think like that?

Is it like those high MHz binned kits are just good in doing the clock, but are bad in timing tweaking, even at lower clocks, or is it another reason?

In addition there is a trident z 3600 cl 15 kit, this would be good too, instead a cl 17 or 16 kit, right?

I mean if i invest in new sticks, i don't care if it costs 20 bucks more or less...

I used the Zadak with a 5960x on a x99m killer, they would run 3200-14-14-14 but not very stable. Now I have an R5E with EK monoblock and a new 5960x on the way so lots of testing to do soon.

Tested 4266 rgb,failed to train 4000 12 12 12 1.85-2V. Also latest 4266 were worser on tight timings compared to 3600c16. Latest 3733 c17 and 3600c15 again were worser,1707 serial week,1701 on pcb,644 week on IC.

On the average from 5 sets of 3600C16 i had way better average than on 7 sets of 4266.Not to mention that 4266 i had 3 kits with one module DOA.

It is what it is , i binned over 100 kits overall and i have 3 modules super good, found about 6 GOOD(4133 12 11 11 Spi 32M wazza) and about 10 4000-4040 which is in my book average.

My advice would be to get a few kits of 3600 17-18-18 or 16 16 16 NON-RGB and keep the best, return the rest.

Sorry to be the deal-breaker for the RGB but the different PCB makes handling a bunny, for instance lots of 55 codes at reboot or cold-startup at the same time when they were memtest-stable,this is PCB to blaim, might be additional noise caused by the leds or motherboards that are not perfect tuned for this.

I stated my own experience , you can believe me or not, this is opinion based as i said 100 kits of b-die G.skill retail tested, completely waste of cash ,time and resources . While you might see other "retail" kits 4200+ superpi stable, you know unicorns do not exist and real-life experience is so harsh :)

Thanks a lot mate!

Since i don't want to bin i guess ill go with a 3600 cl16 kit saving 20 bucks in comparison to the cl 15 kit. Buying some beer with the left over money and play around with the cl 16 kit ;-)

Sorry for double post!

Trident Z 3600C16 sold out at my dealer atm, will take 12 days or so to be in stock again.

But there is a Ripjaws V 3600C16 Kit in stock, it should be the same B-Die Stuff like trident z just the headspreader looks different, right? Can i buy this instead or should i wait?

Thanks!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi. Wich are the values to get bdies to work @4266 ?

I got my tridentz 3600c15 kit to work pretty easy @ 4133 cl17 @ 1.375 vram.

But at that low vram, up to 1.42 is a non go for 4266. Are there any other values to consider on those speeds?

I would also like to know if 4133 cl12 is capable on this kit, and with wich vram and vccio/sa... Any other values to be considered with z270 (apex) ?

Thanks in advance.
