VRMtool - a simple tool to read and write to I2C VRM controllers

Featured Replies

0/ All,

I'm new to the forum. How can access attachments, I'd really like to test out the vrm tool on some cards that I find suboptimal in power consumption.

For instance in my ether mining rigs I have something like this:

MSI 570 gaming RX that @ 80Watts and 1025mV in voltage

in order to obtain the same voltage on an MSI 570 Armor I have to push it to 150W on the afterburner. Yes the card is actually undervolted on stock settings, seems like a really bad unit.

Can any1 shed some light on this ? I'd really like to play with the VRMs to lower it. Whhy the card needs 150Watts to squeeze a mere volt :/

Thnx all!!

Awesome tool for my R9 290. Thanks you!
