Trying to conact user 8 Pack

I am trying to contact with the user 8 Pack as I wish to finish a deal that was started a while ago

 

I wont go into details, but it is an RMA That hasn't quite got here

 

All I ask is for him to finish the deal as I know he is a good person and I need a board to bench cold with.

 

I have attempted to contact him via PM on skype, only to receive no reply.

Ok so this guy buys a 780ti, his mum knocked it from the desk and killed it. Cracking the core.

 

So at an event he attended I was at i gave him a 980 which at the time was worth 400-450 so he could have fun and bench.

 

I also supplied him with a SOC force Z97 after I finished benching it. He promptly destroyed one slot pretty much hanging off the board oh and bent ever pin in the socket.

 

He was not up front about this damage and returned it to me. I saw it and ofcourse knew no company would RMA this. But I asked our Gigabyte rep a favour and it has been fixed. No one else period would get this repaired it's warranty void. But I help out.

 

I will refund your postage no problem your board is RMA declined. Check your account in 24 hours.

Destroyed a slot on it, are you bonkers? I have pictures somewhere that I will attach of the board before I sent it, I told you about the socket pins and you said that you will definitely get me an new board since you are on good terms with the giga reps, a week passed and you message me saying that "I have a board for you from gigabyte" "your board could not be repaired" which implies pretty strongly that you have my original board, in a non functioning state, I proceed to muster up the money for a repair to that board, so about a month later I ask about someone at OCUK repairing it, I get told that it is not in a broken state, so I pay postage to get it here, 4 Months pass and still no board, every month I ask about the board, to no reply, to the point where I am driven to making this post,, to where I instantly get a response. Will upload pics of the board later.

I fail to see how any of this invalidates his point that you never sent the board, it is inexcusable regardless of how you feel about previous actions.

 

You have been paid for an item and you have not shipped it.

 

You even resort to calling people names in private because of how he is putting this in public yet I remember maybe 5 people telling me (including Will) that you are hard to contact.

 

I once tried to buy an xpower from yourself and you either dropped off the face of the earth, ignored me or as everyone else said, you don't respond to PMs.

 

I find it disgusting that you think you are in the right because of what happened in completely irrelevant situations, do you believe you don't have to send the board because he "deserves" it or because you believe yourself to be better than him because you did all this for him and thus he isn't worth your time?

 

I think the solution here is a full refund or he should take it to his bank and tell them he never received the item he paid for after trying countless times to contact you

 

Learn to accept your mistakes :)

I think something has gone wrong here, I've known 8 Pack for 2-3 years and he has always helped me with information every time I asked. I have bought many items from him some brand new and some used everything I bought came when he said it would and worked perfectly. He's someone I trust 100% everything he has said or done for me has been as good as it gets.

I know for certain he is a very busy guy but he has a heart of gold I have found anyway.

Can someone please tell me if those RAM slots are hanging off?

The socket was damaged yes, but causing me to wait those many months while you seemingly twiddled your thumbs and got on with other work, despite that I have paid you to get the board back, I have gotten the shipping return but feel that I am entitled to get the board or at least a partial refund of the board.

Andrew, I fully understand he is busy, but no one should be made to wait as many months as I did, whenever I get something damaged in shipping, for example when I sold @Samzarulz a part that got damaged, I had to pay him out of my pocket, excluding the shipping, hoping that my claim would be accepted because its important to get that money back in their hands, or a working product.

 

I was also promised a board by you, but did not receive it, why go back on your word? Doesn't help your case at all.

Guys can someone close this thread, isn't really conductive and a matter like this should be discussed behind closed doors.

 

From what I understand, 8Pack has refunded Will the postage but declined his RMA due to him posting this thread as he couldn't get in contact with him for 3+ months.

 

Will obviously isn't happy with this as he was told he would get an RMA replacement, but is getting no further response from 8Pack.

 

I think it's safe to say that this probably isn't the place to be airing laundry out to dry, but I do believe Will was desperate as he genuinely couldn't get a response; he got one about 10 minutes after making this thread.

 

I have locked this thread obviously because it's not really for public discussion and probably doesn't belong on HWBot, but I do hope both parties can at least come to a resolute outcome.
