damric
What about these new ASRock Z270 boards with Hyper BCLK?
der8auer
What about these new ASRock Z270 boards with Hyper BCLK? It works with Skylake CPUs but not Kaby Lake as far as I know
Tina
As far as I know the codes to lock the BCLK of the non-K Kaby Lakes have changed to the past codes of the Skylakes. However Gigabyte just answered to my question if the non-K KabyLakes could be overclocked on a GA-Z270-HD3P just with: “Hello, The board allow to adjust BCLK with non-K CPU. †I will receive that board early next week with a G4560 (the i5 7400 was out of stock) and will test it If that fails -I have a feeling based on the quality of the answer it will-I will try a ASRock Z270 with Hyper BCLK Engine II and test that and post results here. Tina
Not with a out of box Gigabyte Z270 HD3P. I am highly disappointed: not even the BCLK can be adjusted, it is locked totally :'( So board goes back to seller... Next ASRock...
elmor
No need to waste your money on it, it's not possible to unlock Kaby Lake non-K at this time.
damric
Next question: What happens when you put a KL in a Z170 or a SL in a Z270 and attempt non-K OC? Anyone tested?
elmor
Next question: What happens when you put a KL in a Z170 or a SL in a Z270 and attempt non-K OC? Anyone tested? Kaby Lake cannot be unlocked on any platform. Theoretically Skylake can be unlocked on Z270.
