KabyLake initial testing/batch

Recommended Posts

Nice nacht. Congrats. What points you using to take vcore off the hero?

i solder always on my boards 2 wires( +VCC and GND) from MLCC back side socket to read with accuraty on my DMM , even some board has vcore check points ...

on Hero if you use LLC lv5 you got a bit undervolt in load! if used llc lv7 you got 30 -35mv overvolt that you set in bios!

also chip can do 5 ghz uncore on air and max tested was 5200 core at 1.28vcore cinebench R15!

Guess I'm gonna steal it...

L6390049 MOCF VID 1.168V R15

5.0/4.5/3600 c16 1.19V

5.2/4.5/3600 c16 1.29v // 1.3V on screen, but It passed 5 times in row at 1.29V, -5mV BSOD after benchmark ended...

not delided :)

Not relevant for the binning, but if others are considering Delid..

I did my test with Prime95 version 28.9, AVX and I set sizes manually, a friend once told me this is supposed to be hardest setting, and I have to admit, it cranks the temp up lots..

Pre-delid

5000/4500/3200 @ 1.275V with AVX offset 2

89-87-92-89

After delid, I kept same voltage, same settings

77-78-77-77

Then time to see how much I could push it...

5200/4800/3200 @ 1.41V, I still suffer from ASUS forgetting VTT in BIOS, but hopefully they will fix it fast :)

Just received my 7700k from Amazon.com I got batch L639f982, Will keep you all updated with results once I receive my new bios chip from AsRock so the Z170oc supports the cpu (no 6700k to flash it my Asus board decided to eat it.....)

Btw, flanker nice to still see you around, this is Firedragonxs from the old xtremesystems forums

I am using a test blend from Blenders website to test stability it renders a scene from "gooseberry", it takes about 30-40 min to complete and will almost fully use 16gb of ram, seems to run my CPU hotter then OCCT by a few deg and will fail where OCCT will pass. I always like testing with real world apps, Good luck to you flanker, finger crossed you get a good chip!

Not me :D

7700K L640F773 with Impact+H110i

5.0/4.5GHz 32M needs 1.38V 2c2t

5.0/5.0GHz 32M doesn't pass up tp 1.45V

4.5/4.0GHz R15 needs 1.21V

5.0/4.5GHz R15 doesn't pass up to 1.45V

1600MHz mem needs 1.10V SA for memtest

1800MHz mem needs 1.35-1.40V SA for memtest

1866MHz mem won't pass 32M with any SA

I cant believe out of all batch's in this thread I had to match up with this one. Mine is L640F774

I also have a L631 something, seems old, hopefully can test tonight, has anyone had a L631
