Dead Things Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 I did something dumb. I validated both a BCLK cvf file and Mem freq cvf file from the same rig. Now only the BCLK valid is available since the CPU speed was slightly higher for that one, and I can't figure out how to validate the Mem freq file separately. When you upload your BCLK file, the system will detect that this file has already been validated and link you to your CPU speed validation. I've lost way too many scores this way recently. Dead Things Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 Thanks for the input guys - I just redid the Mem freq sub with a higher multi so it would take precedence over the BCLK sub... But I've noticed that the more results you validate within a short timeframe, the higher the timeout. Sometimes I had the validator merge two scores that were validated 6 hours apart. Â Since we had trouble with the Radeon HD 6000 Stage:I changed the limitation to specific GPU Cores, means you should be able to submit with Radeon HD 69xx, 69xxM, HD 68xx and HD68xxM cards. Thats still not the whole HD 6000 series but at least a lot closer. Let me know if it works. Â Possible to add HD6670 (Turks XT) to Stage 4.5? I know it won't be highly competitive, but my team is small and we don't have a tonne of hardware.  The problem is that the Turks GPU was used also in Radeon HD 7000 and 8000 series . So allowing Turks XT would mean I allow them too. Im not very happy about the situation but I cant do this. I hope your team can find a cheap card till the end of the comp. I've already bought it like this and didn't test how it performs with stock bios. Â Anyway 1GB models are indeed rare to unlock, so 2GB are better choice. Sorry for the inconvenience  Any particular reason why this change would be made six weeks into the competition when some people went out and purchased hardware specifically for this competition, and doubly so made sure to get a ruling on the hardware itself before?  Saying something along the lines of "yes, it can be used, up to ten cores is perfectly fine" and then a month later changing the ruling is going to rub some people the wrong way. Just because there are only a handful of submissions posted with it to the competition at the moment doesn't mean that some teams haven't been benching the platform, or wouldn't be and just haven't posted the submissions yet.  Making such a potent backtrack in rulings is bound to give off an impression that the HWBot staff could care less about the integrity of their own rulings, and that they don't care at all about fostering and growing the benching community. HWBot and OC eSports should be a platform that people are proud to be part of and support, not think "great, what will they change next, and how little time will we have to deal with it", which is still a widely held opinion about the two platforms by a decent number of benchers (look at the North America World Tour stop last year, where not even a week before the event was to start a ruling was made that no bdie would be allowed... One that had an insane amount of backlash since bdie had been available in Canada (and most markets in general) for over three months - it was changed back two days later... After Intel´s paper launch we still have regions where cpus are not available, and what is even worse, a lot of boards are not available. Some guys in the staff are still believing in vendors and promises, and that a launch is a launch. Maybe next time they will be more realistic. Fact is Intel and vendors bunnyed a lot of stuff up by making paper launch, sending out dozens of samples but you cannot buy the models they send out as samples even in big markets like europe. 2. X299 cpus without delidding are useless if you want to max them out. Delid tools are not widely available which provides another problem. 3. I have big doubts that someone buys an expensive new gen platform for team cup only, so don´t tell me you spend 2k or whatever to throw the hardware away after the cup is over...  P.S. Don't rely on promises... rely on facts. Can people in most major markets buy the product? If not, don't allow it. 2. You can delid without tools... you're really reaching with this "point". 3. It may not be the only reason but it's a contributor. Â I agree with Wulfe that the shuffling back and forth is very unprofessional and it's not new. Sadly this was not taken in at the decision and we now pay the price for this. On the delidding - you killed an i7 iirc with razor, now you want to take the risk of killing a 1k cpu?
