No need to hunt lost unicorns. Now To be specific regarding your question. I dont know of any kind of adapters from Slot-A to something else. But if there is ... it's forbidden I can init my hand made adapter for thunderbird slot A -> socket A adapter but i don't secure if this work with non thunderbird core.
