Notifications show but no way to actually check them

In the upper right hand corner it shows I have notifications, however when I click on them rather than give the drop down to show what type of notifications I have it takes me to my subscribed threads and the notifications don't go away.

    Configure browser push notifications
    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
