bios update no need for me on mocf with 8086k. Have u try on old bios?

Thanks for your feedback RULE! ;)

I didn't try with BIOS supplied by NickShih (http://picx.xfastest.com/nickshih/asrock/Z17OCF7.51A_CFL.rar)  because I had the doubt it was necessary to update the CPU Micro-code to correctly recognize and manage the Core i7 8086K.

Cheers,

KK

Core selection fixed 1/2/3/4/5/6 all available now instead of 1/2/3/6

Ah yes!

But is that also fixed on the full ATX version BIOS? We still have the same version from April. No further updates since that time.

Kind Regards (full ATX version owner)

Hope it's an ATX with only 2 dimms, Z170 MOCF is great but no place for multi-GPU :(

I'm guessing it will be an OC Taichi and praying it is 2 dimm or 2dimm OC layout with another "2dimm" setup behind it that sucks for OC but sells well to mainstream

Can the 4 dimmer do 4000 mhz cr1? I know that the z270 soc can't do cr1 but can run 4 dimms at 4000 mhz, so that'd be a selling point vs the soc

I've never been able to get it to do 4KC12 1T whether using 6th, 7th or 8th gen CPUs with RAM that can do it easily on 2DIMM boards (and some MSI 4DIMM ones!).
