This hobby has always been expensive, sometimes it's spending $3k on a single part, and sometimes it's spending way more on cpus/gpus to bin. Having a lot of "resources" has always been a requirement for setting world records, and there isn't anything inherently wrong with that.
April 19, 20187 yr agreed, could buy 10 coffee lake CPUs and only find an average clocker or you can spend 3k and get top 5 scores in all benches maybe titan V makes more sense than any cpu does
