Anyone here has experience getting hyper to run with 32nm 1156 chips? We have a couple 650s and 550s here that won't post with hyper at anything beyond 800 MHz if even that while handling PSC at >1050 or so...

edit: and once again noting that almost nobody else running high QPI which makes it easy :D

I'm testing a few i3 550 and some new ram. with every chip, i hit a solid wall at 810 ram speed. This is with g.skill PSCs as well as my OCZ 2000c9 kit (which is probably PSC?!). Did you ever find out what this is all about? There are some sumbissions with ram at close to 1000...

Edit: more IMC voltage solved the problem

only had issues with hyper, with psc running qpi at 5+ ghz and mem at 900-1050 is no problem on these on H55M-ud2h. I think during one of our later sessions we even hit close to 1100. This particular example doesn’t run high qpi and I’ve since stopped with the platform, but looking at scores from Tantekaethe (we’ve benched this platform together a couple times) might give you some other examples.

@ground1556

should be caused by board/bios then? Or am i missing something? Until now, i only tested the Clarkdales with my H55M-D2H.

Edit It seems to be a board/bios thing. In a short session, the M3F took PSC to 1000 without any problem.

Edit 2 H55M-D2H is now also able to do higher mem speeds. Just needed some VTT to become unlocked.

Got a new Dominator GT 2000c888 v2.1 kit (don't know how to check, if they are really hypers. but should be) and that runs about 925 7-6-6 with i3 550 on M3F. It doesn't like voltage over 1.7 and gets weirdly unstable at higher clocks. Maybe the board sets some timings wrong? I didn't try for long.

That said, pretty much any other ram is running 1000+ and i get higher Maxxmem scores with PSC.

its fairly normal that hyper clocks lower then psc on clarkdale, no idea why but I’ve also never had luck clocking them high on that.

Also v2.1 1600c6, 1866c7, 2000c8, 2000c7 and 2250c8 as corsair are guaranteed hyper, though you typically want to run them as 6-7-5 or 7-7-6. 7-6-6 is not optimal.

i was wrong about 7-6-6. actually ran them with 7-6-6 (edit) 7-7-6. thanks for the information.

Finally bought a second 870 to try out, little lite test as board is not cold prepped.... IMC testing, this imc seems better..... memory only -50...uncore pushed little to far for cpu temps also me thinks......

Cpu not maxed out....

What are you using for cooling the memory? LN2?

Also, what does this set of memory do on air with Haswell?

I gotcha, do you still have that set of BBSE that did like 2750 8-11-7 air?

Yes still have them, unfortunately awhile ago I turned on the pc with Samsung memory profile last used with these bbse.....Let’s say they didn’t like that ahah, not really tested them on cold with haswell since....but I use them on cold with ivy and sandy chips. Was a awesome air kit
