Hi guys

I have for sale a binned (from 15 CPUs) and retail 10980XE. Its been professionally lapped.

Great clocker, up to 5.1 possible with 1.285v (LM used on that one pre lapping) but I run it 5.0 with about 1.24v in Summer with regular TIM. The chip is temperature sensitive.

That’s also the reason I managed the following score with cool air through „window mod“ 5.5+ in TimeSpy, no LN2 tested.

For mesh 3500 Mesh is possible with about 1.35vMesh and 1.3v IO for benching. 3300 Mesh with 1.15vMesh and 1.13 IO for 24/7

For testing Memory 4000 CL12 is possible. That can be seen in a run I did in hot June which is to my knowledge the highest score on H2O cooling.

Well these chips rarely die. I see it as a benefit. I already took the risk of lapping and it’s done without rounded edges so it’s rly flat. If you place it on a piece of glass you can feel the suction. it looks like a great clocker for LN2 where lapping is pretty much mandatory for these chips.

Although I am not interested in this chip, I will just drop my 2 cents here :)

@unityofsaints correctly mentioned the warranty issue. But it is not only that.

A lapped chip, as an ES chip, have a very narrow resale target group of potential buyers. The reason is that someone paying 1400 Euros for a chip will most probably

want to resell it at some point, when new generations come out.

Leaving HWBOT aside, ANY other marketplace with such chips ( eBay ), they simply do not sell.

So, all in all, finding a buyer willing to pay now 1400 euros and be left with a, possibly, non reselable item, is a serious issue.

Other than that, a remarkable cpu indeed.

Thx for the input! I think there are arguments for both sides. But funny how life is sometimes: Just sold the chip for 1499 on eBay.
bzw does the thread get moved to the sold area or do I have to do something that triggers it? Thx for help

Thx for the space!CABF2DB3-BC84-43B1-9C65-45091813B698.thumb.png.2c0104dde8128925d425182148843a69.png
