standard BIOS f1 new BIOS 5c is trash!!!
sa 1.32

tx 1.345
dq2 1.44
vdd 1.58-ddq 1.55
I didn't like the custom.my processor does not want to work at a low V at which it can and sometimes there are fps drops and freezes in games
I decided to make the RAM overclock work on the standard BIOS.

This is not a Gigabyte support forum, this is a niche forum for overclockers using the xtreme overclocking BIOSes, not the retail BIOSes. Please take your complaint someplace else.

The forum is about the board period, it's not limited to the XOC BIOSes. And he wasn't asking for support either.

Just found out the X has 2 more layers on the PCB than the regular Tachyon. I wonder if that factors into diyavolik777 being able to do 8800 stable, something I've never seen done on the non-X.

Ok you're right they weren't asking for support, just ranting about how a certain BIOS "is trash". So even less constructive.

yo guys need help with Z790 stuff, sorry if wrong board thread but I can't find one for the Z790H

awhile back I had asrock timing configurator and asus memtweakit, however it stopped working on my installation of windows and it seems that attempts of reinstalling it is futile

I tried the one from Maximus apex OC pack  (M13ocpak1224b) and memtweakit doesn't show any of the timings

asrock timing configurator says "driver cannot be loaded, re-install..." + "access violation at address 0042280E asrtc.exe 000000C" and just displays garbled timings afterwards

have anyone managed to find a fix?

Windows 11 22H2 22621.5189 Enterprise (not LTSC)

@Mr. Fox any input on this would be appreciated, sorry for the ping

Sorry I did not see you had tagged me. Not sure if you ever solved this or not. If your BIOS version was never changed coincidental to the malfunction and you allow automatic updates I would be looking at a Windows 11 cancer update being the most likely culprit for the broken memory tools. If you are using Defender and have everything enabled in Security Center, it could also be something in Windows 11 "security" that is borking the function of proven safe-to-use software.

On a side note, do you guys have a problem board detecting the M.2 drive when connected to the Gen 5 below the CPU slot? Mine does not recognize the 990 Pro? Is there a switch on the board or a BIOS trick? I am on Z790 Tachyon, thank you very much.

If you are still having this issue and the 990 Pro is detected in other M.2 slots maybe try a different NVMe in the slot. It may be something with the 990 Pro, but you can determine if that is the case with a different NVMe. I would suggest a Gen3 or Gen4 to see if it is detected or not. If not detected then the issue is the M.2 slot.

Could someone update the XOC bios to not send 1.65v in safe mode?

Also VID limit doesn't work on XOC bios.
