June 16, 2025Jun 16 Hey there enthusiasts, I found something on my RTX 4080 Super which I don't think anyone has talked about on the internet.Well it just turns out that the ASUS Strix isn't the ONLY GPU to support Elmer's EVC2SE. It isn't labeled, but I think there is a way to hook up the EVC2SE on the MSI SUPRIM X 4080/4080S.Take a look at the PCB, and if you have one of those MSI 4080/4080S Suprim X, you could try to solder the EVC2SE. I don't think the top 3 holes are the ones that support the EVC (but correct me if you know better!). The 3-hole interface on the RIGHT close to the voltage controller uP9512R seem to be more likely. And surprise, surprise, the EVC2SE actually supports this controller! But before I do anything to my card (I got 4080S for a good price from a guy who wanted to replace it with a workstation GPU for local AI), I will first install the 470W vBIOS. I have a Bitspower waterblock installed (the card wouldn't fit in my case otherwise). But could you please test this with your card in case you do have EVC2SE and this card in your possession?
