September 16, 2025Sep 16 Yes, CPU-Z 2.16 wouldn’t launch and gave an error on startup, so I had to use version 2.09 instead. This is not prohibited by the rules
September 16, 2025Sep 16 Cpuz 2.16 is buggy and everyone had issues with older hardware. Competition rules state that "on older problematic platforms older CPU-Z versions are allowed". I see no reason removing this result from competition. This platform is legacy and might have issues in certain OS environment. Checked with M1rror and that was the case. Score is in line with clocks, has wallpaper to prove it was done during cup.
September 20, 2025Sep 20 Author Crew My question was about CPU-Z 2.14 not 2.16. Problematic would refer to wrong multiplier readout, frequencies being completely fubarrred, no read out of memory timings,... I see all users on CPU-Z 2.14 or higher on win7, so this is an isolated case and not a common issue. Pretty sure the platform is fine on win7. A fresh install of Windows7 and even 2.16 worked here.
