Posted October 12Oct 12 Anyone here with this board , using a 48GB kit (Hynix M-die) ?How was your first boot with this board using a 48GB kit ?After changing my memory kit , from a 32GB (Hynix A-die) to a 48GB kit (Hynix M-die) , i can no longer boot normally. In fact i can no longer boot at all.I tried three different versions of bios (3.10 - 3.25 - 3.50 the latest) but nothing changed. The board refuses to boot.I have to use abnormal methods to make the board boot, work and oc.The board boots with only one stick of memory. =>get into bios =>load default settings =>save and exit=>get into bios =>put my own settings (oced or not) =>save and exitThen install the second memory stick ... wait a bit for a memory retrain ... and then all good. For the record , i am using an 8000 series Phoenix core and my memory kit is a KingBank (expo 6800C34 ... which can never work at expo settings). After manually setting the ram timings and voltages,i can work fine at 6200C30 1:1 uclk or 8000C36 1:2 uclk with 1.45volt.What i describe here is not an optimal procedure for a board , not being able to first boot , with both sticks of memory.Thoughts , opinions ?Is it the board (bios) ?Is it the ram (spd) ?Is it the combo ?
October 14Oct 14 Very odd behavior @TASOS , do you have a Granite Ridge or Raphael cpu to try?I can't say that I've experienced that but in general it seems the HDV is picky with certain M-Die kits, namely my G.Skill Leeghood edition ones for the OCWC 2023 seem super unstable no matter what I have changed (volts, freq resistances etc. . .) but posting has never been an issue. Will check with @NickShih and see if he has any tips to help.

October 15Oct 15 Had a similar issue on the weekend, board was behaving weird with a 48GB set, took a few attempts to get into bios but once I did so, I set some really basic clocks and timings (5600C36) and restarted, never had an issue once it was in but getting into bios was the challenge

October 17Oct 17 I was using an Epyc 4124P at the time. Weirdly I never had any issues with the APU's when I attempted to do this on much older bios, maybe give that a go and see if it helps?
