Country Cup Stages design thread at Discord (click link)

Here at HWBOT we try our best to deliver a fair and enjoyable playing field for all those who participate in the rankings and competition. To be able to provide this kind of service we have tried to design some submission and general rules to help remove any doubts about whether something is allowed or not. Based on continued experience these rules will be updated, expanded and completed as time goes by. Please check back for any updates.

  • The HWBOT Country Cup 2025 allows only:

  • Single CPU socket retail motherboards and single GPU retail Videocard submissions (unless specifically stated otherwise).

  • No Laptop or other mobile devices, desktop NON SERVER hardware only (unless specified)

  • Standard HWBOT HW rules apply:

    • No ES hardware (unless specifically mentioned)

    • No Server or Workstation or Mobile hardware (unless specifically mentioned): E.G. no Threadrippers, Xeon, ... , or EPYC CPUS

    • Single CPU sockets (unless specifically mentioned)

    • No Core Disabling allowed to simulate lower core Processor/GPU Core counts

    • Add a picture of your OC setup

Please ensure that the verification screenshot includes the competition background, on top of the standard HWBOT rules, a CPU-Z Motherboard tab is required

Plz check out the Standard and specific Country Cup 2025 Rules laid down per stage before submitting.

If in doubt contact a moderator !

I assume the 1151 and 1151 v2 are allowed as 2 different sockets just like in the database?
Thanks @Leeghoofd in advance for your time that you put into it again.

What 2c CPU would you run with 1151v2?

like a celeron g49xx , pentium gold g54xx / g5500 / g56xx
you never know if someone wants to try that 😅

i wonder how the 1851 10c CPU (u5 225) perform here. SA is locked i guess? But even with locked SA.. I'm curious in what could be achieved with them.

Maybe i will spend the 144 euro for one and figure out.. 🙃

It does not have any core disabling allowed or not allowed, should add that to clarify things. Or say 2-4-6-8-10 cpu core cpus only.. ect

As far as I remember and know,

disabling was never allowed in competitions.

Only activating cores/cache in old Athlon days was permitted.

For new benchers or even old since I have seen some in recent comps not do the "standard rules or even follow the rules for that matter" its best to be more specific. Just have no core disabling to clarify things.

This is not Country Cup.

Sponsored selected country to be overboosted for the win 😅

Care to elaborate? I tend to disagree…

After the minor server/website outage this morning, some scores from the competition have disappeared.

Can these be added again?

nope you have to re-add them David

Hi,

May I have more info about this rule:
No Server or Workstation or Mobile hardware (unless specifically mentioned): E.G. no Threadrippers, Xeon, ... , or EPYC CPUS

Does that also include mini PC like Strix Halo mini PC? Or the rule actually means
Only use socketed non-server/workstation hardware

?

Correct, Strix Halo would fall under the mobile hardware category.
