June 6Jun 6 Hi,So I have a few plan to OC some DDR3 platform and thus I aimed to acquire corresponding hardware, with a few exceptions everything has been going more or less smooth got myself a bunch of mobos that should do the job for every DDR3 socket out there (gotta admit I was fully expecting having to pay scalper price for that P5E3 Premium but no got a P5E64 WS Evo for 30 bucks instead so that's good, just gonna most likely have to learn how to delid an X48 chipset before I get around to using it seriously), as well as a bunch of CPU to play around with obviously (Still missing an L3014 from the wishlist but I think I can get one for a reasonableish price).And then came the time to shop for RAM, being a noob I didn't know much so I went for I went off random recs, at first it was Samsung 2GB D-Die, found a bunch of that for not too much money, but then I found out about Samsung 1GB G-die, was harder and not as cheap but still found a bunch, then got told that Gdie is not where it's at but PSC 1GB is where it's at, was pretty cheap to find a lot of that so I got myself a bunch, but then I came to the realization that Phenom II and LGA775 don't do high memory speeds and you want 2000ish with real tight timings so obviously went looking for what was best for that, that being Elpida Hyper, thus start the problem, those damn things are unobtainium (or I'm being a bit silly and somehow can't find something that's right under my nose), over the course of a few months only could find sticks that probably weren't Hyper or single loose sticks for outrageous amounts of money (I might really want Elpida Hyper, doesn't mean I'm willing to spend 200 bucks on a single stick, missed an ebay auction that would've had what I wanted but it went way over what I could afford anyways), though to myself "well what's the next best thing then", D9GT Microns seemed to be the answer, but that's even worse to find as I seemingly couldn't find a single stick on anything (and I'm looking everywhere I could think off including foreign secondhand marketplaces).So that leaves me with little choice than to ask for advice, where do you get Elpida Hyper at a somewhat tolerable price, I don't need the godbin, I just want 2 or 3 sticks that do 1000Mhz 7-6-5 at a voltage that won't fry the sticks in a single bench session and that won't make my bank account cry tears of bloodtl;dr: Want Elpida Hyper, can't find, what do?P.S.I do have the opportunity to grab those sticksBut I recall reading 0690 in the S/N while it will always appear on Elpida Hyper sticks, it only is for bins only it can really do (so 1866C7/2000C8 etc),and if it's a worse bin it's BDBG (iirc might be wrong, doesn't matter not Hyper is the thing) which isn't the case here, so Hyper or not Hyper? June 6Jun 6 What country?Generally, Elpida Hyper is high demand and many buy it to have backups (as Elpida continue failing even these days). Corsair 2000c8 (cmg6gx3m3a2000c8 rev 2.1) and kingston (khx2000c8d3t1k3) are most common Elpida kits.D9GTR should be available in xms3 1600 kits (1gb, 1.9v+ rated rev. 3.1).

Also put the timeline into the mix (When each chip was produced).You are looking for early production dates (2008 , 2009) to be more sure.A 2011 production date (like the one in the photo) must have been the Elpida leftover chips before Micron acquired them (so most probably BDBG) Also from personal experience .... g.skill + hyper + black pcb = no way.

June 9Jun 9 I had 1866 adata's and they were hyper (mnh-e), but were probably the worst hypers I've ever had. It's better than nothing, I guess, but don't set your expectations too high.Found images in my old sell thread (P/N ending in DP2, instead of TP2)

June 22Jun 22 sometimes you get partial faulty chips. i have one stick of mnh posting fine and even at 1050mhz 6-7-5 but wont boot into windows because exactly 1 ic is on its way out
