Beat the 980 Challenge - No 980 Allowed

I’m launching a 60-day community overclocking competition through OC Arena discord built around old GPUs, budget hardware, ambient cooling, and pure tuning skill.

No LN2.
No chillers.
No Dice.
No Phase Change Coolers.
No extreme cooling whatsoever!
No dual-GPU bullshit.
No RTX-wallet flexing.
No GTX 980.

Just 4GB VRAM or less, one GPU, ambient cooling, and 9 benchmarks to see who can squeeze the most out of their silicon.

GPU limit: 4GB VRAM or less
CPU limit: 4 cores / 8 threads / 6.0GHz - core disabling is allowed
System RAM cap: 16GB - max mem is allowed
Windows 10 / 11 x64
Air, AIO, custom water, natural ambient cold allowed - minimum operating temp of 10c
Driver tweaks, LOD, tessellation and secret sauce encouraged
Multiple GPUs can be tested - only your best score per benchmark counts
No prizes. Just bragging rights, knowledge, jank and love of the game.

You don’t need to run all 9 just to participate either. Run what you can, chase individual leaderboards, share tweaks, learn some shit and have fun.

This is meant to be accessible to beginners, old-hardware hoarders, budget benchers and experienced overclockers alike.

None of the benchmarks are hwbot approved, don't think you will get active participation here.

Also, good competition requires indication of benchmark version etc. Too much freedom hurts fair play.

The none HWBot approved benchmarks was to get away from all the HWBot benchmarks.... seem like all I have done the past year is only what is approved here so I wanted to switch it up and each benchmark has a link in the discord to the exact version to be used it rules are followed as intended but, I should have include that in the rules doc. I myself an new to setting something up like this, so I will acknowledge I have left some loop holes in and others have no ide I missed. I left no rules against hard modding just excluded it from the rules to no deter beginners. I have found in other comps like this LN2 & hard mods scars away some so I want everyone to feel able to compete
