I also lost one good 2600K on an MSI GD80 while trying wprime 2 weeks ago.

 

That CPU was a 57X one and it was playing for some months on a maximus IV with no issues.

 

It died 2 seconds after pressing the "run" button on the MSI .

 

After this , i have to say that i will avoid like the devil to put a CPU again on an MSI board .

don't try high vtt on msi board (mine is crazy), measure it after boot

Well, mine isn't better either, when it comes to max frequency/8t, but BCLK potential tends to vary quite a bit from sample to sample. Mine doesn't seem to give a shit about voltages in general either. :)

We tryed 2 2600K,the best in the mashall did 110 bclk, and the not quite as good (max frequence/vcore) cpu on a M4E it did 110.5
