AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ ''Manchester'' @ 2.95GHz

Recommended Posts

Hi there ! (sorry if my english is bad :D)

I overclocked my CPU today at 2.95GHz. The last time I tried more than 2.8GHz i got a blue screen. The only thing that I needed to do was to set the Vcore to 1.5V (1.3625V before). http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=878448

Now, my problem is that I can't go more than 2.95GHz because my CPU need more Vcore. My motherboard (ASUS A8N-SLI DeLuxe) can support up to 1.65V but it allows me only 1.5V.

How can I set more Vcore ?

1.5v? I've yet to burn any CPU at below 1.8v. If 1.5v was the limit of the board it was probably not the vcore itself that killed that chip, more like spikes or something from the board.

Thanks LiquidNitrogen :D

Truly, I think I short-circuited my mobo: I was removing BIOS's battery when I feel that my screwdriver touched my mobo. AFter that, I turned on my PC (making the blue and white cables touched ^^) but I heard no bips. Tried everything... Snif ;(
