February 7, 201214 yr Same thing happened to me on a 8800GTX, but that was on purpose, i didnt know that it was possible to do this by accident. To remove the IHS of an old P4, I just used a hot air blower and a flat-iron which worked perfetly.

February 7, 201214 yr Thx I did my best but with some cpu its the first time ever and I learned a lot for the next cpu. btw: it was an Opteron 8222 not an Phenom X4.
