LOL ....yea, I was thinking something similar. Ilya will turn it into a functioning hexcore chip using only some cardboard and paperclips. On his lunch break. :D

Same thing happened to me on a 8800GTX, but that was on purpose, i didnt know that it was possible to do this by accident. :D

 

To remove the IHS of an old P4, I just used a hot air blower and a flat-iron which worked perfetly. :)

It (was) an SL5VR :) Celeron 1.3.

 

I'm pretty sure it was in a computer I found in a bin 4-5 years ago.

I did my best but with some cpu its the first time ever and I learned a lot for the next cpu.

btw: it was an Opteron 8222 not an Phenom X4.
