Ivy Bridge 3570K/3770K Batch and Serial Numbers

6.5 sounds good to me. and that was a 3770K batch not 3570K. Is there a difference?

I read this whole thread a couple months ago. Batch is meaningless, total crap shoot. Some people have gotten lucky with several above average chips bought at the same store, but then other people on those same batches have had crap. Just have to bin until you find a good one, or throw money down on prebinned.

+1 IMOG:

We had 5 of the same CPUs during the MPOWER OC Academy.

The worst did 4800MHz totaly maxed out on a CORSAIR H80I (decent IMC with 2650MHz 6-11-6 )

Two around 5000MHz 1.45, one 5000 1.5.

The best 5000MHz 32M Pi at 1.28, which we put under LN2. The latter CPU did close to 6700 1M and 3D around 6500ish...

Buy a binned chip or wait for new gear in two months:)

Binned Ivy chips should be getting pretty cheap now with the imminent release of Haswell coming.

There was a 6.8 chip on here for $450 or so. I'm just cheap. I can bin and re-sell for minimal losses if any... so I want to find one myself! My best chip is a 6.46 1M chip :/
