Agreed, some are more and some are less performant, but ... that's just a part of overclocking: trying to beat more expensive systems with less expensive hardware. It's always a "convenience vs how much complicated it is" issue. Why not making a motherboard division - obviously the X48 board will rip an epic 975X? The answer is - this will make the rankings too complicated without need. The same for I-rams and videocards in PCMark.
