techjesse
Sure, here it is. When I click on "Participate" it gives an error. http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu2/techjesse/MultiThreaded%20Mayhem/Desktop_2013_01_08_09_46_44_797_zps529e00dd.jpg  http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu2/techjesse/MultiThreaded%20Mayhem/Desktop_2013_01_08_09_47_42_823_zps8f41adf0.jpg

I think that sandbagging is too much a part of the game now.

You should have it in the black slot, otherwise the latency from the PLX bridge on the orange slots will affect your scores.
Massman
Yes, black slot is needed for highest performance in single card with UP7. Some info that might be useful: Â
Massman
First set of pictures are uploaded to Gigabyte's facebook. If you have any wintery pictures, make sure to upload them  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151189338522120.448105.209090107119&type=
subaruwrc
maybe that is the reason, but im not really sure, +200pts will come only from changing to slot 1 orange to slot 2 black, but who cares, i will try that out. thanks for the heads up ! OptimusRex
what is missing in stage 2 to validate, my result? because i use 2 logical cpu`s ...and the answer is...Use 1,2 processor core(s) in total. - your submission does not comply to this rule. Â you have to use a cpu which have 2 cores stock. i7 920 has 4 so its out of the game.

ivanov
LOL, my UP7 is acting weird... When GPU is in black PCIe slot increasing BCLK also increases PCIe freqency - all over 103MHz means black screen. Orange slot is ok of course. Any ideas? I have tried 3 different BIOSes and two CPUs. Still the same. Shouldn't the multiplier for PCIe be fixed?

Still the same. Shouldn't the multiplier for PCIe be fixed? Â I'm assuming you're using a HD 7970. Â For HD7970 and UP7: switch PCIe to gen2 will give you the possibility to get higher BCLK frequency. I've been able to run 105+ with gen3, but it's hit'n'miss - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There is a marginal loss in performance. According to Gigabyte, the problem is located on the 7970 (their implementation of pcie gen3 switch). Â BCLK and PCIe frequency are linked on SB, SB-E and IB. Only on SB-E you can get higher BCLK with lower PCIe frequency because of the BCLK ratio gears 1.25x or 1.66x. On SB and IB, it's always linked to the BCLK frequency. ivanov
@Xgamespati I have tried BBSE, PSC and MNH-E in different slots. Always the same. Thanks Massman :-) I will try this. You assume right, I use 7970 Matrix. The question is which combination will be better. GEN3 orange slot with higher latency, or black slot GEN2 with lower latency... ivanov
@Massman, thank you once more! :-) GEN2 really helped. Running with BCLK 109 now :-) I will stick to the black slot.
