There are 4000+ of them in Taiwan, basicly every street corner), 1-2GB data should be plenty, and you are logged on with your email on the smartphone anyway, hence your whatsapp will be as if nothing has changed... Thats odd, I used my 'flight sim' when I was in London february, and I got lots of messages on whatsapp, unfortunately... And I have no clue what the number is on my flight sim.
