I'd love to see Intel push the top high-end desktop more - bring on the Skulltrail!

BUT Skulltrail was xeons..QX9775's..The desktop chips were the QX9770's

We will never see that again unfortunately

Intel won't let it happen.

Today it's all about controlling the market to them at every pricepoint

Intel probably resolved this issue finally...

4.2.0.8 [Hotfix] – 09/04/2013

1. Changes

1. Update to benchmark to handle reference clock changes and maintain even

scoring. This change should allow the benchmark thesystem correctly on all

Windows operating system versions.

Probably should be mandatory now in order to resolve this downclocking bclk trick

Shouldn't all prior scores be chucked, or at least checked with prejudice?

Given that there's no SS to check windows version, it seems like a major problem to me.
