During my tests for 2024 competition, saw that HPET has to be turned on. At first, I didn't think much of it, until I noticed that almost every program in win11$$ will be negatively affected by this.

What is worse, once I turned it on for the benchmark to work finally, I forgot, I had it still on and went nuts, trying to find the culprit slowing my computer down to -50%.

My second question is, why HWBOT uses such an ancient early alpha attempt on what will become FFmpeg in the future. The latest FFmpeg (7.1 or newer) has hardware accelerated video encoding for that exact thing, that this benchmark is having us do in extra long and slow on purpose.

	What purpose does this satisfy?

The HW-acceleration is specifically programmed to make use of the on-die and what Intel call UHDxx0 graphics. Most desktop model have such a device on them, unless you buy an -F CPU, meaning -F in the end means no video on the CPU. This accelerator is called QSV for short and means Intel's Quicksync. Quicksync is very common these days, since it allows you to broadcast your encoded content in real-time to platforms like Twitch or the YouTube.

So for example that 4K benchmark would be done in a few seconds, with very high frame rates, and it doesn't slow your CPU down. You could render that video in 2-5x real-time and still play Cyberpunk if you like.

It would be very practical being able to search how a specific benchmark runs on say, every intel dual core, or AMD 6 cores.

Could also help when searching for skylake-x results where 3 generations of CPUs have the same core counts under different names, currently requires 3 searches to compare properly

We don't really have an elite member either, the one that is currently listed as elite is a result of an old submission with "LHe" picked by mistake as the cooling method. I'm not aware of any other external elite members joining our team and then leaving.

As the title describes, in my opinion it would be convenient to have a filter to list all motherboards for a specific socket or chipet. Currently, you can only browse by manufacturer and then drill down to the socket and then chipset for that socket, so e.g. 790FX chipset is now the third inclusive filter: motherboard vendor -> socket -> chipset.

In addition to that, and I guess related to the recent change in the db schema, if you open e.g. DFI LANPARTY DK 790FXB-M2RSH (https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/lanparty_dk_790fxb_m2rsh/) and you click on the additional links on top, it will only show you the DFI motherboards that meet the search criterion.

And I started up now try to submit scores again and same problem. I get same problem on different machines and with differnt browsers. I saw also earlier (a few hours before this Error 500) that it took long time before the scores went into points and medals / trophies.

I did a Hardware, Motherboard, LGA-1151 v2, z390 and then LGA-1151, z170 lookup from our (HWBot) DB to see its info. I’ve done this many times before to see which maker and model (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ECT,ECT) has the most or best submissions. I first did the asus z390 WS Pro and it showed 0 submissions even though the main page showed 116 submissions. I then looked up the asus z170 Maximus VIII Extreme, Gene, Hero, and Impact. They all showed more that a 1000 submissions but when I clicked on them they showed ~ 15 submissions. I’m used to being able to see how the MB did on the the different 2d benching categories (SuperPi, Cinebench, WinPrime, ect) and what OC the MB is capable of.

Is there something wrong with our motherboard DB? I also tried a look up of the GTX-680 by using the Hardware, Video Cards, Nvidia GeForce 600 Series(13,xxx subs) but clicking on it would not bring up the 3d benching categories. I was able to do a search from the main page and bring up the info on the gtx-680?

Hello everyone, firstly I want to congratulate the work on updating/improving the platform!

And I would like to know why the ARC A770 page has no results appearing and if you intend to raise a new ranking for the 8GB version of this card because there is a big frequency difference in the VRAM (187MHz) in relation to the 16GB model that in more sensitive benchmarks it appears.

I've noticed that the various lists on HWBot cannot be sorted by column, but I think it would be very helpful in some circumstances to be able to sort by column. For example, on a page like this: https://hwbot.org/hardware/processors#key=lga2011 I would like to be able to sort the list by popularity, but it doesn't seem possible currently. I'm not sure if this is easy to implement but I think it would be a nice addition.

	Hey guys,

New to the forums, but not to HWBOT. A colleague of mine posted on here with respects to getting some help on how to embed some HWBOT team stats on our forum site for our HWBOT team, but it was deleted, possibly because it seemed like spam, my colleague is @A Zayed.

We had checked into some API documentation that we found, as per the below link.

	https://d3vp4utu9lbqmm.cloudfront.net/api/Query_API_1.0.pdf

However we were having issues on getting any values return when doing the API calls. Is there an updated API or other method we should be using ?

Please note that we are aware of the easy embed solution as per: https://hwbot.org/embed/loadembed

Unfortunately this does not satisfy the sort of stats we are trying to pull down to our forum. Ideally we are looking to be able to scrape the stats for the below

I would be really grateful if someone could point us in the right direction

All recaculations on rankings of hardware and benchmarks have been just completed.

It's looking good, as positions for hardware, global and World Ranking are now correctly being updated. However there are some minor issues spotted in each of the geekbench single core rankings where one sub is not being diplayed, but we are onto that...

Regarding the topic, are the WR points something that you want to see back?

Honestly I don't even recall in which version they got exactly pulled, neither the reason why. Wild guess as the ranking no longer properly worked and Frderik implemented a recalculation lock on subs below rank 200.

Now If we want to bring them back some things we need to consider:

 - Do we bring them back for all benchmarks with Global points or do we make a smaller selection for single and multi-threaded benchmarks

 - What would be the max points for WRs in 2D and 3D? similar or different boints as in current format?

	Hi everyone,

after the recent discussion about the loopholes of old benchmarks (especially 01) and how they can be tricked by running them with less GPUs enabled in SLI/Crossfire while subbing with full Crossfire/SLI enabled, we did some research today to see whats up.

We recorded a video of 21 mins non-stop testing showing enabled 4x GPU Crossfire vs Single gpu and their differences & also sent a comparison screenshot to the moderating team (full video available to them at any point of time)

As the performance gap between single and multi-GPUs on 3DMark2001 is quite close, some seem to have taken advantage of it and run the benchmark with one GPU as they couldn't figure out how to get the performance to work on multi-GPU configurations.

Thinking that everyone is cheating and instead of raising the question towards the mod team or reaching out to other users in a discrete way to check what's up, chose to take advantage of the small performance differences in order to run the benchmark with a single GPU before enabling the Crossfire for screenshot purposes.

Eventually this is not just about figuring a potential concern but also about deliberately running a false configuration on purpose for personal gains.

The performance difference being small or the lack of system info should not be the reason to call it anything differently than what it is.
To our eyes this is NO different than disabling cores on a 12900K/12900KS and ruling the 1c/2c/4c/6c cpu categories other than this being visible to the eyes of the community and the moderating team.

Same way one could do the exact opposite and run 2x GPU in SLI/Crossfire and disable it to sub it under the single gpu category of any 3D benchmark.
How visible it is makes no difference to the action itself.
NOTE: It is SO visible as a specific test of 3DMark2001 performs worse with a high clocked LN2 CPU (running single gpu) vs a run at 5.6 GHz with Crossfire enabled.

With new competitions coming in and HWBot slowly growing again, it is also on the users to maintain a certain level of transparency and avoid clear wrong-doing and not just on the moderating team.

We are coming out publicly on this as killing a benchmark cause some(one) CHOSE to cheat while others invested time & money to figure it out shouldn't be the way.
Additionally, thinking that everyone is cheating and submitting scores with wrong configurations on purpose for personal gain should not be left as is either.

We mentioned it before and we are mentioning it again as we stand by it; we are always open to make video-proof a necessity for top-10/20 scores & comps to maintain fairness towards all users.

Regards,
Stavros & Phil

There is an elephant in the room we definitely have to talk about. For multiple generations the single card category has been scoring more points than multi card stages. As usual there are two different views on this. Some people ask me to remove globals, others want to keep it.

Especially in 3DM2001 it's a bit on the edge because I know some people disable SLI for subtests to achieve higher results than with SLI. My personal view on things like this is usually: If we can't detect it, we don't ban it.

What do you guys think about it? Remove or keep?

Took me a while.. a long while at that to reach 10,000 boints contribution to my team. Meanwhile the achievement banners dont update. Well i found that that particular counter only consider the TPP and no other boints. Considering its a achievement banner for contribution to Team the marker should be counting the overall contribution. if this can be fixed please.

Following the request for beta testing our new embed functionality, introducing the official beta thread for the new HWBOT embed functionality.

Since September we are working with an external company to push the HWBOT development into a new direction. At the moment we are focusing on preparing the OC-ESPORTS website for 2016. The first feature to make it to production is the new HWBOT Embed functionality. This allows you to embed HWBOT rankings on your blog, forum, or website without any knowledge on software development. The function is available at http://hwbot.org/embed/loadembed.

	A couple of Notes:

The integrated forum rankings v2 from 2010 still works. There are no plans to discontinue this, but we are not actively maintaining the code.

The Embed functions are currently only available for registered developers. We want to monitor the usage and see how it affects the performance of the website as we scale up.

There are currently three supported types of leaderboards:

Competition: embed the leaderboard of an OC-ESPORTS competition

Benchmark: embed the benchmark overall hall of fame

Team: embed the leaderboard of a benchmark, scoped to your team members

[*]We currently support three types of embed forms

 Javascript embed

 JSON output

 Vbulletin BBCODE(*)

We also support custom SQL to Embed for custom data requests. This will be available for our premium partners first as we make sure it functions correctly.

During the next couple of weeks we will run tests with developers who will beta test the different leaderboards. Our main focus is gathering feedback on usability, speed and server load, and feature requests. Once we have gathered all the feedback, we will plan the next development steps for the embed functionality. This is already in our backlog:

 Stylesheet customization (color, font, etc)

 Reddit markup

 Country leaderboards

 Overclockers League leaderboard

Long-term I really want to bring back the functionality to submit results from external websites (like we had 10y ago). If the embed kicks off and becomes really popular, I think this would definitely be a valuable tool for team admins to get people involved in overclocking.

How to become a registered developer?

Post a message below so I can add developer credentials to your HWBOT account.

	How to create an Embed

	Go to http://hwbot.org/embed/loadembed.

 Select your embed configuration

 Click 'Generate Configuration'

Copy-paste the code where you want to embed

You can view previously configured embeds with Inspect. You can also delete the embeds you're no longer using.

How to use JSON and BBCODE

For JSON, use the following URL: http://hwbot.org/embed/rankings.json?token={configId}. For the example used above, this would be:

For BBCODE, ask your forum admin to add the following BBCODE configuration:

Title: HWBOT leaderboard embed

BB Code Tag Name: hwbot

Replacement: <script src='https://hwbot.org/js/embed.js'></script><div id='{param}'><script type='text/javascript'>hwbot_embed('{param}','','embedTable')</script></div>

Description: Embed HWBOT leaderboard

Then simply use the [hwbot]{configId}[/hwbot.] for embedding the leaderboard.

Since it is the first time that I use the WINDOWS PE system to archive and then go to the CPUZ website to manually upload the .CVF file to verify and then come to HWBOT to verify the memory frequency, I don't know what the XOC mode is.... If the results I submit are not If it meets the regulations, then my other previously uploaded scores should be in compliance with the regulations~ I just uploaded and verified the submission of the memory frequency 8654MHZ, but I can't rank it~ Can you help me to see what's going on? Thank you~
