  1. Oh, using a commandline (used google for the part that IS visible) like this:

    unrar bench -cf=sse2r -cpus=1,4,8,12,36,48,56,64 test.rar

...give me 77.5 score! This is still lower that this should be, but definitively a improvement!

...but is not this cheating? And it there are something more that I should add to get the extra performance?

you don't have to dig in command line

just set in advanced (adv... button) thread count manually

I use to set only 64 test

test takes much less time and in my case I get best scores with 64 thread

but maybe one should tweak other thread count options for better results

  2. Well, CPU and ram have been obviously changed

    they are different

    let's see rules

    http://hwbot.org/hwbot.post.do?postId=1038

    4. Lending hardware, hardware sharing

This in a delicate subject as we have to trust on the honesty of those participating at the HWbot that they are indeed using their own hardware and not sharing a golden sample CPU or VGA card.

Let’s start with what is allowed to be shared: everything… except:

    - VGA may not be shared for 3D Benchmarks

    - CPU may not be shared for 2D Benchmarks

so, looks like it's ok with these tests

but mobo and desktop are same

    they don't look like

    they are :)

  3. that doesn't answer my question as to why this thread should be closed...

here is the reason why the thread was opened

    Nothing strange?

like 8 cored X7460? or 8 socket Xeon server?

    as we get the answers

    Cell benching is not forbidden.

    It is up to users.

Tell me reason - WHY it should be forbidden?

there is no limitation to amount of cores

there is no reason for this topic any more
