i5 6500 OC questions in Overclocking.guide Posted February 1, 2017 Alright guys, I have an i5 6500 non-k. I just am testing the waters on OCing these chips. Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero board (with the non-K OC bios) i5 6500 processor Cryorig R1 Ultimate cooler Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 C14 RAM And I currently have it set as follows: BLK at 138 (4416 clock) Core voltage at 1.325 Ram is around 3100 mhz I have had Prime 95 1344K running for an hour and my package temps hit a peak of 56*c and average of 42*c Can I take this higher or just leave it as is? Everything I have read here says to keep package temps under 70*c, but this thing is hardly breathing heavy right now at those temps, am I correct?? Thanks in advance for the help!!!
