I try my current Core 2 Quad Q6600 to overclock. 2.9 GHz running stable at 1.28 Vcore (324 x 9). RAM clock is at 650 MHz (DDR2-667). Now I wanted to reach the 3 GHz limit. 333 MHz FSB x 9 run at 1.34V not, after 2 seconds Prime rises a core of already.
Surely it can not be that because I increase the Vcore to 0.07V 100 MHz must be 1.35 or voltage safe for continuous operation?
Cooling is second in a few days with the Scythe Mugen PCIe frequency is fixed at 100 MHz.

Any tips? Should I go with the higher Vcore?
